It's me, Jenna. In Scotland. Autumn is my favourite colour. Plant lover, cat enthusiast, grower of vegetables, cloud watcher, visitor of places, occasional crafter and art-er. (Admin Officer at @bsbibotany.bsky.social) Views are my own. She/her.
Love the first visit of the day to the greenhouse. Just for these droplets of condensation that gather on the leaf edges.
Nice stroll on Arran today. LOTS of orange raspberries... Massive pod of Common Dolphins seen feeding off the ferry on the way home. Lovely.
Zigzag Clover (Trifolium medium). Never really noticed this before! Stunningly vibrant in the drizzle today.
Dunure Castle, with Oysterplant and Hare's-foot Clover 28.6.26
Support band for Sierra: The Brudi Brothers. Also great. And those two dudes :)
Bees! Mainly on native Hedge Woundwort. It's one of my favourite plants, so I've left a somewhat large patch in the garden. Lovely to see this. *Sound on!
Cumnock Pottery at an amazing little museum we visited today. Heritage Centre Cumnock. Would highly recommend. An amazing collection of Mauchline Ware, police memorabilia, a huge collection of photos of lorries taken by a traffic cop, a stunning old caravan, and much much more. Lovely volunteers.
Out with the BSBI Ayrshire group today. Hieraciums and rock-rose and hills.
Butt of Lewis Lighthouse, with crashing waves and a very tired looking snow bunting. I think... 7.3.26
Clach an Truishal standing stone, Lewis. 7.3.26 One of the tallest in Europe? 6m. Good lichen.
