reached a new level of nerd recently, generating C# scripts with the Roslyn SyntaxFactory API in Godot. it's mostly a miserable experience, and inefficient compared to just writing string chunks for simple use cases, but something about connecting the bricks just tickles my brain ☀️
I have this old twitter gif from @noelfb.bsky.social saved up for the opposite case, using "↩️" when it's ended, it's neat. I think one mandatory sliced dialog at the start (or just written in a way that leaves no doubt the character has more to say) + feedback when there's no more is the way to go.
I know who he is. the term is also right there, in the text he wrote. it's not a neutral argument, it shows a very specific vision of the world.
got some neat generic help boxes working in the Godot inspector, so I can send ominous messages to my future self! they work for both tool and non-tool scripts, but rely on an extremely hacky parsing of @export_custom properties
made myself a little tool script in Godot to preview the behaviors of a custom orbital camera 😊 initially I wanted to make a top-down motorcycle controller, but physics bug in third-person view turned out to be funnier.
earlier this week I was looking for something brainy before bed and ended up trying out the demo for DEG (and going to bed late). this is my board after 11 hours, 80% (only) of the demo 🤯 crazy guess-the-rules grid logic game with unique solutions, if that's your jam check it out! s.team/a/4044990
i would like any computer I buy to explain the internet to me as Mac OS 9 did
it's really cool! have been using your minimal theme for a while and this feels like the mature version of it. among the things that could be improved: editor tool button should be inspector width by default and could use some padding above/below (Unity's take feels cleaner).
launched Guild Wars Reforged out of curiosity and my edge lord character from when I was 10 is still very much there 🥲
he even made an interactive CD-ROM in the 90s to showcase a collection, with a customization menu!
and anything by Walter Van Beirendonck is pure chara design and storytelling (an often kinky and dark one)
or the carry-your-coffee-table garment from the quirky nomadic people of your fantasy world
you could maybe pimp your paid skins a little? if a player pays 0.99, they deserve the crushed painting dress i think?
if your game has a depressed detective (it should!!?), Margiela and Dries have you covered
Rick Owens, Dries Van Noten and above all Yohji Yamamoto all have your next proto-sephiroth edgelord in stock
any vintage Lacroix is about to send violent minions my way before disappearing in a smoke of dust, and I'm not mad
Sacai basically releases the roster for Final Fantasy X-3 and X-4 four times a year...
that goddess any JRPG wants you to kill could be Iris Van Herpen, Margiela, Loewe or McQueen
mine after 50hrs, more or less sorted by individual mysteries. I'm also dropping the game at this point! I believe it would have greatly benefitted from an in-game log of sort. late game puzzles are super complex, and not knowing what is a clue or not exponentially increases this complexity.
don't mind my perfectly sane "i'm doing a Miro board for this" (I started with a notebook but it was just too messy)
