A beautiful sight to see! Amtrak Cascades and Coast Starlight trains on the move following over two weeks of service disruptions. -via amtraker.com
SERVICE UPDATE: @amtrakcascades.wsdot.wa.gov will resume regular service for all trains on Aug. 19. Train #500 will resume the following morning, Aug. 20.
Contractor is on site - hoping to see the big boom soon so @amtrakcascades.wsdot.wa.gov service can be restored💥 UP has placed cars full of ballast on the track within the collapse zone.
@amtrakcascades.wsdot.wa.gov has been experiencing record ridership in the post-COVID era! 2025 saw a slight decline from 2024 likely because of equipment shortages, which hopefully will be solved when the new Airo sets arrive. Now we just need to run our beautiful new trains more frequently!
We are sorely disappointed that this warehouse fire shut down SEA-PDX service for over 5 days now. AORTA has urged the City to demolish the structure so service may resume. Just now, 506 reached Union Station, and SEA-PDX may be restored! 🫶🚆 💚🤎🤍 See: amtraker.com/stations/PDX
Worth the wait to see the new and improved @amtrakcascades.wsdot.wa.gov 💚 We can’t wait to take a ride once these enter service! 🚆🛤️
Legislators may make a mistake that will decimate rail in this state. Don't let them. Send in testimony RIGHT NOW

We also encourage you to write comments asking Trimet to consider other bus lane configurations. BAT lanes are a stark improvement from the status quo, but why shouldn't the highest ridership bus line in Oregon get better? Recommended reading from Marco Chitti open.substack.com/pub/marcochi...
