Scraper traffic has been ramping up exponentially over the last few weeks. We're now getting ~160 requests/sec from bots that ignore robots.txt. Iocaine is generating and serving them roughly 2 MBps of nonsense.

A timeseries graph of our traffic broken down by Iocaine classification. Problematic Chinese ASNs and and explicit requests for the garbage maze make up almost all of our traffic, in red and green respectively. The attacks are periodic, consisting of a constant request rate for 23 hours, then falling back. Peak amplitude escalates from ~10 to ~30 to ~70 to ~160 req/sec.

Bots now make up ~80% of woof.group traffic, and I'd say ~2/3rds of our signup requests. Pretty sure we'd be down right now if it weren't for @algernon's Iocaine.

Traffic broken down by Iocaine classification. The green at the bottom, "default", is what we think is normal user traffic. The big chunks of red and green up top are either from Chinese ASNs that we've blocked for aggressive scraping, or requests for poisoned URLs.
