Omg I've very nearly gotten Dalek Paradigm Bingo. It's a game I made up after watching the episode Victory of the Daleks. You have to spot a red, yellow, blue, orange and white car parked in a row. I don't think I've ever won!
This month's story challenge for August: A story with scenes on a beach or at sea. Quote this post with the Doctor Who story you've watched/listened/read for August!
Maybe my Doctor Who fan brain again but I'm wondering if this was one of the inspirations behind the Borad design in Timelash.. clearly some likeness!
That's what I was thinking, but I guess there are other ways, so up to you! 😋
Vale Justin Richards - like countless others, the first books I got when I was getting into Doctor Who were by Justin. "The Legend Continues" was my Bible: the non-judgemental summaries and fascinating facts about things we learnt in each story, despite having to wait years to watch most of them.
This month's story challenge for July: A story where the TARDIS travels during the story Quote this post with the Doctor Who story you've watched/listened/read for July!
A new cheaper series of Doctor Who sounds promising but I'm not keen on the redesigned TARDIS
I see a similarity between the Space Invaders alien in the artwork (1978), and the Mandrels in Doctor Who (1979) - is it just me? The flares! The glowing eyes and claws and fur.
This month's story challenge for June: A story set in the year 3000 or later! Quote this post with the Doctor Who story you've watched/listened/read for June!
I've been playing this film quiz for the last 18 months. Finally they do a Doctor Who/James Bond themed question and I get my best score ever in the top 1% of players!
Just watched the great new making of documentary for Resurrection of the Daleks. Really massive script, great direction - perhaps too much cutting around and tons of deaths. I take it for granted but this must have been groundbreaking when compared to what came before with the Daleks.
Tonight I've started Frontios - I've just got to the Tractators, but this feels like the Kinda/Snakedance type story of the year. Pretty ambitious but captivating, and a great script!
This month's story challenge for May: A story set on Earth but outside of the United Kingdom. Quote this post with the Doctor Who story you've watched/listened/read for May!
After having never seen or heard it before, I'm now halfway through The Daleks' Master Plan! Second half next week!
This month's story challenge for April: A story featuring UNIT! Quote this post with the Doctor Who story you've watched/listened/read for April!
Watching The Awakening and I love the Doctor's new companions Jane and Will. (They keep giving him new companions!) It feels a bit like they chopped out episode one in a three part story, but it's a good one.
Project Hail Mary is fun - and the sort of intelligent space film they haven't made for years. Looks absolutely stunning too.
