Friday beer in the garden time. I'm getting pretty fond of this Lidl exclusive. Also checking out the new ROLLING STONES album, which is decent enough. They still do this thing better than most. Can't really believe they're still going, tbh. They don't sound like old men.
Watched THE PRODUCERS again last night. If there's ever a vote for Best Comedic Performance Of All Time, then I'd be pretty tempted to put Zero Mostel's Max Bialystock forward. He's just an absolutely joyful whirlwind.
Someone followed me on Letterboxd today and I saw they rated TOMMY BOY only 2*, so I obviously didn't follow them back.

I keep trying to get more into Fleetwood Mac, but I struggle. So, I'm switching over to another British band from the 60s who have gone through several eras and lineups with only the rhythm section staying (mostly) the same, and checking out the new DEEP PURPLE album. The stupidly named SPLAT!
Replaced an old door lock with a better one and so am throwing the old one away, but my brain feels very nervous about throwing it out as if it's some security issue. But why? Incase someone steals the lock that isn't even attached to my door anymore?
It's a very different sound, and basically a different band. And that was the era when bands just dropped random singles independently of albums, so your best bet is their original Greatest Hits ('71) (Fleetwood Mac have two albums called 'Greatest Hits', both totally different with no same tracks)
Checking out COLD STORAGE. Because I missed it at the cinema, and it's still quite warm tonight so I hope it actually has some stuff behind kept cold in storage, so I can vicariously get cold too.
I'm curious who the market is for this. The set is almost $300. What would you even do with all this stuff? I don't think there's any album by any band that I'd ever be excited for something like this, regardless of price. But for ReLoad? I don't think I've listened to the CD more than 3 times.
Friday after work beer in the garden. It says it's 27°C, which is usually well above my ideal, but considering it was 37° this week I think my body has decided this is actually the perfect weather.
So from just a loose passing interest, Star Wars Galactic Racer has risen to one of my most anticipated games of the year. Because apparently it's a Burnout Roguelike set in the Star Wars world. That just sounds amazing and oddly original.
I think I need to raise a complaint with my office manager. Oh wait, I work from home.

I feel bad for the UK SNL team, because the dude who played Kier Starmer (George Fouracres) had that impression nailed.
Got a bottle Kraken Roast Coffee rum as a father's day gift, and oh my god this thing is lush.
All Them Witches in Bristol last night was great. They've been on my list of bands to see for a while now, so I'm glad I can tick them off.
Relistening to this album from The Oath. Their only album, before the guitarist left and the singer went on to start Lucifer, but I don't think anything Lucifer did beats this. The way the lead guitar and vocals kind of harmonise together is just a joy. A retro, blues-y, euro hard rock sound.
Also, I had my Loop earplugs in for this gig, and even though I was right at front by the speakers, coming out the gig and taking them out I had no ringing or anything, and no ill effects this morning either, so take that as a big recommendation. Wish these were a thing 20 years ago.
Went to see Elder and Blood Incantation yesterday and accidentally ended up right at the front for most of it. I'm still not totally convinced by Blood Incantation, even thought they're getting loads of attention recently. Although it's a clever mix of genres that works far better than it should.
Got a hat free from Vodafone which my daughter tells me has moved me from notch Zero on the cool scale down to -1. So obviously I'm going to wear it out in public with her all the time.
The best whisky out there - Ardbeg 10 - is on offer for £35 for Father's Day at Sainsbury's. I know it's wrong to buy your own present for fathers day, so I bought this one for my dad instead. Sadly, he passed away several years ago so I'm going to have to drink it for him. Cheers, Dad.
