View from the kitchen window this morning. They’ve been using our (deliberately mostly-wild) backyard as home base since spring. 🥰
Working late at night, when all is quiet, makes me miss my office gargoyle. I think he made half a dozen books with me.
In the midst of my downsizing I keep finding fun things like this: a sketch note compilation from CSS Dev Conf 2014 by @natalyathree.bsky.social . I’ve always loved this, but now it reads like a time capsule. “Goodbye Floats” “Who uses Sass?”
References to “The Room” should be rare and well-timed, like @matuzo.at’s random “oh hi Mark” moment at last week’s @smashingconf.com in Freiburg. 🐶🏈🎭💃☕️
I have a few beloved working-at-the-desk-for-extended-periods playlists, but this set by Flo Dill has been my go-to for this current project: beatsinspace.net/playlists/am...
cleaning out some old photos and may have stumbled upon the final boss of T-shirts (from a Crystal Method show at SXSW 2010)
First time a subtitle has made me lol 🏅 #SmashingLibrary #AccessibleUXResearch
Read this in 2022 during my 300-hr yoga teacher training. Rereading this month as I prepare for surgery to *finally* open my airways after a lifetime of breathing issues. The book is amazing—audio version is especially great for long walks or workouts—but it will leave you rethinking your habits.
