Went to the Fleurs de Villes exhibit/installation at the VanDusen Botannical Gardens in Vancouver. Artists decorate mannequins with flowers and plants, based on a theme. The one on the L is inspired by the Galapagos Islands. The one on the R inspired by The Great Barrier Reef.

Dress is off the shoulder with right sleeve and skirt in mostly blues.

On the left side of the skirt is an iguana-shaped floral creation made of mostly red flowers.

Made some crochet cotton dishcloths #crochet

3 crocheted cotton dishcloths.
Different patterns

1st is 2/3rds off-white-coloured & 1/3rd brown yarn

2nd is made from a variegated off-white, cream, & brown yarn

3rd is 1/2 variegated off-white, cream, & brown and 1/2 brown

All have a a small pink/yellow/orange crocheted 5-petal flower on the bottom left

I'm learning how to knit intarsia, which I have a feeling your sig other knows how to do.

My first attempt knitting intarsia.
It's a red mitten with a white maple leaf.
So far just the ribbed cuff, and the the back of the hand done.

There was no frozen juice in the freezer when I went shopping just now. But there's this great display.

Coca-Cola boxes on display at a grocery store.
Grey boxes (Coke Zero?) provide background.
Then colored boxes make the design of the Olympic rings.
Red is Coke classic, Green is Sprite, Black is Root beer?, Yellow is Canada Dry Tonic Water, Blue is Canada Dry Club Soda (or vice versa for Blue and Yellow)

I was in Canadian Tire and a woman stopped me to ask where I got my mittens. I told her they've seen better days and I think they were from Zellers, not even The Bay. She said she has a ratty pair too but her daughter is in Germany and wants a pair. Sadly, they are no longer available.

Decided to treat myself for my upcoming birthday and bought myself 2 Calvin and Hobbes books from @audreysbooksyeg.bsky.social Then I went to Duchess Bakeshop to see this year's gingerbread concoction. I love The Grand Budapest Hotel.

It's a 7?-floor light pink building and the bottom 2 floors are more pink. Roof is black.
There are 2 staircases leading to the front door, but they're perpendicular to the entrance. And a ? horse stable on the left. Base is brown.

Approx 3-4 feet tall and about 5-6 feet long

The grey corduroy lining on the top flap were also from an old pair of pants of mine.

Inside of a grey shoulder bag that was upcycled cargo pants and corduroy pants (both were mine). Made by a friend's mom.

Trying out knitting two-at-a-time socks. Pros: efficient Cons: frogging (because when a mistake is made, you're taking not one, but *two* socks off the needles, and hoping you can rethread them correctly 🥴) 🧶

2 knitted socks on a circular needle, the toe parts as it's a toe-up pattern.

Yarn is variegated lavenders, purples, blues.
