Went to the Fleurs de Villes exhibit/installation at the VanDusen Botannical Gardens in Vancouver. Artists decorate mannequins with flowers and plants, based on a theme. The one on the L is inspired by the Galapagos Islands. The one on the R inspired by The Great Barrier Reef.

I was in Canadian Tire and a woman stopped me to ask where I got my mittens. I told her they've seen better days and I think they were from Zellers, not even The Bay. She said she has a ratty pair too but her daughter is in Germany and wants a pair. Sadly, they are no longer available.
Was wrapping presents and decided one needed a bit extra to fill out the box. Enter: last minute crochet project Potholder/Hot pad (Pen is for scale)
Decided to treat myself for my upcoming birthday and bought myself 2 Calvin and Hobbes books from @audreysbooksyeg.bsky.social Then I went to Duchess Bakeshop to see this year's gingerbread concoction. I love The Grand Budapest Hotel.

You should get this and you both would have matching Halloween costumes!
