Something fun I thought about, lol. It's sort of a pet peeve of mine when it comes to how animatronic mechs are portrayed. Of course, it's fiction, so people can do whatever, but the trope of them looking like discount Terminator is a bit exhausting to me. #animatronic #scifi #OC

Some artwork of Rocket, my animatronic OC, featuring what he normally looks like and two different mech designs. One is a bit more grounded in terms of design, mostly looking like an actual animatronic with its cosmetics. His head has a white plastic shell, with multiple snaps to keep the mask in place. The mouth has a large cavity, as the upper jaw doesn't have any movements.

The second mech design is pretty much a copy of the Terminator, lol, red beady eyes and all, with a bit of FNAF endo teeth sprinkled in for extra tropes. Rocket doesn't have any teeth or anything in his head that would give him red creepypasta eyes, so none of these would make sense.

For clarity's sake, Rocket is a humanoid bot of short stature with cartoony proportions, similar to Mickey Mouse, but chubbier. His cosmetics consist of a beige latex mask, short black hair, thick eyebrows and long eyelashes. He wears an indigo baseball cap with pink at the bottom of the brim, a white undershirt and a black jacket with purple on the rim of the collar. To fit with his grumpy personality, he's rolling his eyes in this image.

The art style here is mostly lineless with minimal shading.

More design stuff. I've already shared what this pool looks like underwater. Here's what it looks like above water, with Seymour, Koharu and Keto. The story idea may be stuck in its revamp stage, but it doesn't hurt to draw stuff. I don't want to abandon these whales. #environmentdesign #whales

Concept art of a pseudorca tank from one of my stories, "A Whale of a Tale", specifically of the above water view of one of the main exhibit pools, which is surrounded by sand colored concrete and detailed rockwork. There are also some tropical plants to further sell the illusion of a tropical environment. In the middle of the pool, Seymour (a male killer whale), Koharu and Keto (two pseudorcas) can be seen breaching.

The art style is very painterly, and the characters are rendered in a way where they resemble toon shaded models.

Crappy sketch that will never be finished. I definitely plan to draw a scene with Buzzy and Sunny at some point, but maybe in the future. This was just a sketch for a potential png render. I didn’t finish it because I would rather draw a proper scene with a background.

Wow, it’s World Snake Day? Well, good thing I had this second take of one of my animal OCs, from my Cranium Command AU. I wasn’t gonna post this Sunny render so soon, but I wasn’t about to miss out on Snake Day. They’re one of my favorite animals. #craniumcommand #OC #snake

Sunny, a leucistic reticulated python character from my Cranium Command. Her design is stylized, while keep ing her more grounded in terms of what real pythons look like rather than the cartoony sort of mammalian look that Disney snake characters are always given. She is “standing” in a periscope pose, although normally all of her body would be on the ground. Since she’s a brain pilot, she wears a small blue vest and some ear buds. As mentioned before, she is leucistic, so her coloration consists of pale yellow and white, with lavender markings. Her eyes are reddish brown.

The art style is mostly lineless with subtle gradients and rim lights.

A render of my AU design for Captain Cortex, from the Colossal Pictures version of Cranium Command, pointing towards himself. This interpretation is mostly based on his maquette design, which for some reason has taller and lankier proportions than his original cartoon design. His color scheme is inspired by the colors from a mural which shows him with a navy blue cap, red orange pilot jumpsuit and white gloves with navy blue stripes. Just like Buzzy, I did change a bunch of things. He has black hair, which is starting to fall off due to age, so what would've been his bangs is now just a clump of hair that curls towards the bottom. His body remains the same, but his head is rounders and more top heavy and he has a bit of a potbelly, also due to age.

Another day, another render for my AU version of Buzzy. Would be nice if could just drop the PNG version, but oh well. Anyway, I think at this point, the design is finalized. I wanna push myself into actually doing something with all of my story ideas. #craniumcommand #epcot #wdw

A 2D render of my version of Buzzy from the former Epcot attraction Cranium Command. It's sort of an in between of the animatronic, which had brown hair, blue eyes and more of a bottom-heavy look to his face, and the cartoon design, which was way more visually diminutive. Some aspects were added like some freckles on his cheeks and most notably, a more muscular build. The latter being from a time skip. The AU takes place 4 years after the events of the show, so I decided show that Buzzy has gained more physical strength and confidence. I've also changed the brown colors to be more reddish to contrast with the green colors of his hat, shirt, and pants.

I was debating whether or not I’d post these renders individually. Vinyl, Rocket and R.J. were actually drawn separately, with the intention of having these renders work on their own while at the same time being able to be put into lineups like this. #OCsky #robot #animatronic #scifi

A line up featuring my three main robot OCs, Vinyl, Rocket and R.J. Each of them are humanoid, but they differ in terms of their appearance. Vinyl is a more human-like bot with long brown hair, silver visor with red eyes and a peach latex mask, wearing a black, white and blue pullover with light blue cuffed jeans and shiny black boots.

Rocket was originally built as a roaming animatronic version of a character named Yester Noon, so he has more cartoony features and a very short stature. Aside from that, he has black hair, a warm beige latex mask and cartoony eyes with cameras for pupils. His clothing consists of an indigo and pink baseball cap, black and purple jacket, white shirt, light blue cuffed jeans, indigo and pink gloves and indigo shoes with pink laces.

R.J. is the only one of the three without any kind of animatronic parts to his face, as it only consists of a golden helmet with a black screen and green dot eyes. His sense of fashion is similar to the other two, with a red and black hoodie, white shirt, dark blue jeans and some red converse style shoes.

The art style is similar to toon shaded 3D models.

Had to think an embarrassing amount of time to figure out what to mention. Anyway, the Cranium Command in my AU is supposed to be less military-esque and as such a lot of the infrastructure reflects that. I like to picture it as looking a lot like the TWA Flight Center.

Guess I'm doing a lot of bear-related animatronic stuff. Idk, Bear is my favorite fur color in the second release of the original Furby. Not that the other colors are bad. They just don't catch my attention as much. #furby #animatronic

After an eternity, I finally decided to design a house, specifically, Mike, Vinyl, Rocket and R.J.’s house. Eventually, I’ll get to design the interior and other parts, but for now, I’m very happy with it. #propdesign #digitalart

A house design for “Soul in The Machine”. It’s a Puerto Rican style concrete house, though the roof is made in a way that it sort of had the generic house shape that most people think of. It’s mostly yellow with an orange balcony and brick colored shingles. It also has a stone pillar near the garage door, which is located on the right side of the house. As for the the front yard, it has some bushes with pink flowers, an agave plant with a tall stem and a palmetto.

Testing out a redesign for Rocket. I just decided to change some details, like the size of the gloves and shoes. I just kinda felt like it would make more sense if they were closer to the size of the actual mech. It also just made him look skinny when he’s supposed to be chubby. #ocsky #animatronic

Here’s the second piece for today, the one that I alluded to in a previous post. I’ve drawn my own take of the command center before, but I wanted to revisit it with my current approach to rendering and with Buzzy and Hypothalamu’s updated designs. #craniumcommand #fanart #epcot

My take on the command center from Cranium Command, which basically interprets part of the brain similar to the cockpit of a spaceship with two almond shaped screens serving as the eyes, two circular ones for displaying members of the Body Crew and occasionally General Knowledge on the top screen. In the middle is a command seat which sits on a boom that swings side to side. Throughout the command center there’s a lot of tubes, which in the original official design, are just regular mechanical tubes, but I’ve interpreted them as being blood vessels. Another thing I changed was the bottom, which was a bottomless pit originally, but now there’s proper flooring and on one side there’s a door leading into a secret resting area, in case brain pilots have to sleep overnight.

Included in this piece are Buzzy and Hypothalamus just having a bit of a chat briefly after work.

The art style is mostly lineless with subtle gradients and shading where needed. The lighting is dark with a red and purple hue.

Father’s Day is this weekend, so I took the opportunity to design Buzzy’s dad. He doesn’t pop up a lot in the AU, but he still matters. For those who know and may wonder, yes, his name is a reference to the fact that Buzzy was almost named Sparky. #craniumcommand #fanart #characterdesign

Sparky, another OC for my Cranium Command AU. He’s significantly taller than Buzzy, though he’s still shorter than his mother. His appearance is similar to George McFly, though with reddish brown hair with sort of a flat top and four bangs protruding from his forehead and wearing a solid red tie. He also has blue eyes like my AU version of Buzzy.

Here's something related to my robot OCs, specifically Rocket. It's a teddy bear backpack that he's had for a while. He doesn't carry it around much though. He mostly just keeps his most important stuff in it, though occasionally it serves as a comfort item. #propdesign #digitalart

My take on Hypothalamus from the former Epcot attraction, Cranium Command. He’s a robotic character that consists of a binocular-like head held up by a pole which stretches up from a base. In the case of my current design, I drew his head to look more like an 80’s toy robot. I also still kept my idea of having the wires be blood vessels

I had a dream this morning where Rocket got in trouble for yelling “delete yourself“ at someone who was messing with R.J. He would totally do that, even if he doesn’t get along with R.J. very well. It should be noted that he would regret it, since it’s a cruel thing to say. #OCs #yapping

Rocket my sentient animatronic OC. Within the lore of "SoulinTheMachine", he was originally built as roaming version of a restaurant mascot named Yester Noon, though currently he doesn’t acknowledge or even identify as that character. His hair, latex mask, eyes and eyelids all remain the same, but his clothing choice is drastically different, as he prefers baseball caps, jackets, cuffed jeans and Vans style shoes. He also generally prefers black, purple and hot pink. Another big difference is his temper. He’s just grumpier overall
