Youth made little beads out the harvested wild #clay to see how well they hold their shape. Rather than just making test tiles for pit firing, they drilled holes in them, stamped them with tree bark and birch stumps to make little pendants. If they survive the fire, they'll have wearable #art!

We have to test some of the wild clay we harvested a few weeks ago. So the kids made simple pendants to see how the clay dries. Will it warp, crack or split before we pit fire them? Looks great so far! #art #ceramics #fun #recreation #summer

While we're based in Winnipeg, we've had a blast visiting Melgund Township to help with their nuclear waste impact assessment dialogues. With those done, we get to check out the amazing trails at the Art Borups Corners living lab. Beautiful forests out here!
