I'm happy to report that using the red light to check up on Sunflower is working well! They've been out of their hide every night now so they must be feeling ok about their space! I did manage to get a good picture of them yesterday though since they were randomly out before it got too dark!

I need to actually print this out and post it on a wall somewhere because it's basically the thing that has stuck in my head forever

Also when I was at the bead store for more spider ornament supplies, I found the cutest little Sunflower charm so of course I had to get it for them! Not sure exactly how I'll put it by their enclosure, might be attached to their curtain stuff later or something but, it for them!

The light disturbed them but Sunflower was out and about again tonight, so I'm going to assume not actually in pre-molt rn, they just did their big burrowing and didn't open it back up until the next day cause it's hard work lol

Sunflower made a little opening at the top of The Mound and I can see the stripes of their legs in the dark so they're just chilling but no longer 100% blocked I guess lol

Room was darkish after dinner so photos might be blurry (I didn't want to light blast them when I was really just peeking in on my way to go lay down again) but hopefully y'all can see Sunflower is out and chilling on the substrate!

Managed to get a better photo before dinner of Sunflower peeking a few legs more out of their little hide there

Hard to see cause they're still far back enough to be in the dark but I can see Sunflower moved up from the depths of their burrow and is just chilling under their hide but juuuuust barely visible

SUNFLOWER IS NOT ON THE WALLS OF HER ENCLOSURE AND HAS BURROWED INTO THEIR HIDE I'M SO GLAD

The lighting wasn't good enough to get a clear picture of Sunflower's underside for an attempt at figuring out a sex (I think they might be too young to show anything clearly anyway) but I DID manage to get a couple photos that showed off their very pretty leg patterns!!

Sunflower decided to give me about a minute of heart attacks because they decided to climb upside down on the top of their new enclosure above the cork bark despite the fact that a leg would slip every 2 steps 😰

Ok this enclosure is WAYYYY too big for her but shhhhhhh, Sunflower has a new home

If this enclosure was square I'd be less worried about it being too big but dhdhshshhd, Sunflower deserves a good space for a bit and will eventually need to get a bigger enclosure so like, praying they like the bigger space vs "oh no too big, can't catch food good" fhdhshheheh

On one hand boooo the reptile expo had 3 sellers for jumping spiders but they all felt like they were part of the same mlm and charging $80 for older spooders that would only last a few months, compared to a younger spooder that would last longer On the other hand uhhhh, say hello to Sunflower
