I've used a lot of office chairs, and one stands above all others, the Steelcase Leap v2. These are lifetime chairs at $1,400, but refurbished ones can be had for under $500. Also, they can be fully rebuilt, so buying and fixing a broken one easily gets you into the sub-$300 range.

These houses are all within very reasonable walking distance of the school and all around $500/mo. Cafeteria has breakfast, lunch or dinner for $10. Do a few of those on busy days. The rest is microwave at home. Breakfast cereal, mac & cheese, ramen, each about a dollar. Stouffer's lasagna: $4.

It's definitely trending that way, but it's not yet everyone. A Google search and page titles and excerpts skim suggests that in the US it's about 55/45 mobile, and globally about 60/40, in terms of sales. That's gonna be hundreds of millions of shoppers still on desktop.

Meaningful security requires "defense in depth," layering multiple defensive systems so a hole in any one doesn't expose the crown jewels. Breaking an inner wall after being handed keys to the front door, as Mythos did in the NSA test, isn't a security breach, it's a controlled security experiment.

24 years ago, Mozilla released its first browser, Mozilla 1.0. I know this because I helped ship it. I remember this because it's my birthday :D

I'll eventually get a good lens for shooting our trees, but the smartphone will have to do for now. This coast redwood, our largest, is over 225 ft tall and right at 7 ft diameter. I estimate the aboveground part weighs well over 100 tons, perhaps as much as 150 tons.

The Time Grappler is probably my favorite non-speaking character on the screen. I feel it when he opens those scenes. In my body. It's visceral. I'm bound to his movements. I am a part of his community in those moments. For my taste, cinema doesn't get better than that.
