"You're loud," Kiah'a muttered, nipping almost playfully at his neck. Sidurgu glowered, but any retort was stolen away as Kiah'a twisted his wrist and rubbed his thumb over the head of Sidurgu's cock. "I like it."

Kiah'a dragged his folds over Sidurgu's leg. His rough scales gave way to smooth skin, an interesting sensation even after years of sharing a bed.

"Shite," Sidurgu hissed. His hips twitched. "Stop teasing."

"I'm not." Kiah'a sped up. The bed groaned. It was undoubtedly audible from the hall. Kiah'a found that he did not care.

He leaned closer, tail twisting in the air. His lips brushed Sidurgu's horn. "I want to hear you come."

And Sidurgu could no more resist that than he could survive without air. His back arched and he cried out as he released. Cum coated Kiah'a's hand and both their stomachs. "Shall I return the favor?" he asked. Kiah'a flushed, his bravado vanishing.

"Ah, if you're certain—"

A surge of energy swelled through Sidurgu. He took Kiah'a by the hips and hauled him up until he was kneeling above Sidurgu's face. Sidurgu smirked up at his partner.

"I am."

WIP Wednesday! Been thinking about Kiah'a's relationship with magic a bit. (He's an ass. What else is new?)

"I've never seen someone cast magic like you," Y'shtola said as Kiah'a practiced in Rhalgr's Reach. Kiah'a glared at her.

"You've never seen me cast magic," he retorted. Y'shtola's eyes narrowed.

"That was rude."

"'tis true." Kiah'a turned his glower towards his spell book. The letters were starting to swim together. His head throbbed in anticipation of the headache that would form in the next hour or so, but he was determined to make the most of his free afternoon. They happened so rarely. Every second he could improve his skill with a tome had to be taken. No longer could he rely on a lance or sword.

His stump still hurt on a daily basis. He didn't bring it up to anyone. They couldn't fix it, so why admit it?

I feel like I never shut up about how Kiah'a or Fafnir feel about their homelands, and by god I never will I even wrote a bit about it for Fafnir as part of my daemon au way back in the day.

It was perhaps unkind to call the Sahagin summoning of Leviathan a relief, but it was something Fafnir knew how to handle. They could swing an axe or a lance in battle, cutting through flesh and bone like paper. They could stand alone against the might of the storm, listening to the shift of the wooden platform and feeling the stinging spray of waves against their cheeks. They could be a bastion of strength. They could be the indomitable pillar that everyone else anchored themselves to.

That was easy. Talking to Yugiri and helping the Domans settle into Mor Dhona was not.

The job swap in theory vs the job swap in reality

Sidurgu, Koana, Kiah'a (a Keeper of the Moon), and G'raha stand amongst jungle plants with stones in the background. Hien and Fafnir get a moment's peace amidst wedding planning.

Hien nodded slowly. He squeezed Fafnir's arm and Fafnir embraced him. They held the man close to their chest. He smelled of ink and paper and his familiar musk. He used to smell of sword oil and sweat. Fafnir liked this more.

The two stood there for a moment, simply breathing. Simply existing.

"To think that I used to concern myself with war logistics, and these days I'm asked my opinion on floral arrangements." Hien grinned up at Fafnir. "'tis quite the change, is it not?"

"I do not miss it," Fafnir replied.

"Oh, nor do I. Still, 'tis one of the oddities of life — you spend so much time in the present, you forget that the sun still rises." Hien stood on the tips of his toes to press his lips to Fafnir's jaw. Fafnir snorted as they bent down to properly kiss him. It was soft and gentle and precisely what Fafnir needed in the moment.

When they broke apart, Hien sighed. "The next meeting is with Xilu of the music committee. That'll be easy enough — she's quite an understanding woman. But...
