This instantly reminded me of the gravestones carved by Moses Wright in the Rockingham Vt area, in the late 18th-early 19th century.

I went for a ride through Townshend and Grafton (VT) today. Saw thunderheads reflected in a beaver pond, and visited the beautiful and peaceful Burgess Cemetery.

I made some pretty good bread yesterday, the bread my Dad taught me to make. There's tornado watch today. If I have to go hide in the cellar, I'm taking the bread with me.

The antique yellow-and-brown iris in my front yard. I believe they've been here since the house was built, so since the early 1960s. These have a soft, sweet fragrance, lemony but faintly bitter.

I spent a few hours yesterday at a local state park. It was refreshing for my soul. Saw a loon, listened to birds and the wind in the trees, watched the water ruffle under the gentle breeze.
