I’m home! Me and the canine relaxing on Le Shuttle yesterday.
Waiting to get on Le Shuttle to get back to the UK after 2 weeks in Europe with a friend (who did almost all the driving) and my dog. Here’s Sybil in the French Alps a couple of days ago. Enjoyed the trip and looking forward to getting back to real life.
Last night in Italy. Tomorrow we begin driving home via two overnight stops in France.
Last 36 hours before we begin driving back to the UK. Never sick of this view from the house near Lake Garda that we stayed in.

I’m lucky to have a little garden in London and this is the sad looking Clematis I planted late last year, blooming first time this morning. All my coffee grounds go into this planter. If you’re a caffeine addict like me & are not using grounds to keep slugs at bay & fertilise plants, try doing so!

At some point, if I get a job, it’s likely I will move. One of the biggest things I will miss in my flat is this tiny little corner of heaven in N4 that I put a lot of thought & effort into.
Didnt sleep well last night due to the heat. So finishing up a day writing my paper and hiding from the heat with some academic reading in my hammock while trying not to fall asleep here. could do with writing some more tomorrow. 😑

Homemade oat milk iced latte. I usually drink coffee black, but enjoy a milky iced coffee on hot days. And it’s pretty aesthetically pleasing in my grandparent’s old crystal glasses.
Went to see Beetlejuice the Musical yesterday with my ”little” (21yo) cousin Ruby. We followed with frozen margaritas at the Soho Theatre bar. 🍹
The BBC has become so bias. Firstly, the councillors aren’t all Green, one is a Labour councillor. Secondly, £250k in terms of govt budget is a negligible amount to enable more democracy. @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social
If I do need to move away from Islington North for work walking my dog Sybil on the Parkland Walk almost daily will be something I will miss.
