After I quit my job, I bought a small building on Main Street in my hometown (pop. 505) and opened a lending library and free cinema, where I show movies on Friday nights. Last night: JAWS (My terrier is the official usher and full-time crumb-Roomba)
A swallowtail butterfly feeds on the blossoms of a butterfly bush. Lovely to watch, if a bit on the nose
Nearby to my hometown we had until recently the Hill Cumorah Pageant ... a bonkers depiction of Joseph Smith meeting the Angel Moroni, thus founding Mormonism, which was born here. (You're welcome, world)
I just want the credit I deserve. This week I've forced 3 bored teenagers who have been fed non-stop movie slop ... I have forced them to see live theater in creaky old venues. Two musicals in one week! Summer stock is the most wonderful gift to small towns. (The kids remain unimpressed.)
The only smart thing I've done this summer is to grow own lettuce. Here's my little patch. I call her Lettuce Pray

I nurture and tend my gardens. And then my plants do whatever they want. [And please help me settle this annual awkwardness. I say Clem-AAHH-tiss Others say CLEM-ah-tiss] Which is it?
Happy Mothers Day to all who celebrate by avoiding their families and hiding out in the potting shed
I know that today's timeline is so awful that no amount of adorable cats can possibly cleanse it, but here is a fox crossing our field this morning.
Impressive turnout to see John Mulaney at the State Theater in Ithaca on the first beautiful afternoon this spring.
The Birdseye Diner in Castleton Vermont. I ordered an egg cream (!) a chocolate malted, and the #5 Hungryman Special. No regrets
Mesmerizing murmuration this morning overlooking beautiful Seneca Lake
