I didn't get very good Astro photos (for some reason my brain was mush and totally forgot the camera settings I usually use) but I tried to do some light painting while stargazing in Joshua Tree! (Yes it's a cat)

I'm looking through the classroom activities page on the @ligo.org website for a talk I'm preparing, and I love that they use this legendary cat picture for Electrostatics (possibly my favourite picture on Wikipedia) 🧪🔭

After giving a talk at APS last week, I gave a talk to my old group at Glasgow uni today about the work we've been doing on site evaluation for Cosmic Explorer. Very nostalgic to give a talk in KB 312 and revisit the view that distracted me during so many undergrad astronomy lectures! 🔭🧪
