Another small, about 5x5” exploratory study for a collection of watercolor paintings I want to create. This one doesn’t have a title yet!

Here’s the finished painting, I’m naming it “Already Under”.

I’ve only gotten to create art for a couple of book covers, long ago under a pseudonym. So long ago that I don’t even have the artwork anymore, just the books themselves! But I’m still very proud of these. Being a book cover illustrator was always my dream job, and I hope to do more someday.

This is one of the practice pieces I’ve made to experiment with color palettes for a new collection I’m working on. I’m undecided about finishing it! It may have already served its purpose.
