got excited and set up my july-dec 2026 planner a month and a half early 😁

the first page of a weekly 6 month planner (the traveler's notebook vertical weekly). a tall rectangular frame is printed on the page, and i have decorated it with pochacco themed stickers. the main sticker is pochacco on a floaty tube with a penguin friend napping beside him. i added a snoring text bubble next to the penguin and a heart by pochacco.

saw a bunch of pretty pink flowers today 🥰🥰🥰 if anyone knows what they are i would love to know!

four open flowers, three of which are pointed away from the camera, and several unopened/partially opened buds. the flowers have three or four layers of petals which are mostly an intense magenta color and whiteish green at the tips. the centers of the flowers are yellow and cone shaped, and the flowers are mostly facing downward.

a bush full of orb shaped clusters of small white flowers with five petals and yellow centers. some of the flowers are all white while some have patches of a light blush pink. many of the clusters, including one close to the camera, have unopened buds which are a more saturated pink color.

a low to the ground plant with flowers on long stems that extend far above the surrounding foliage. the flowers have five rounded, white petals and long pink stamens. each flower is alone on its stem, but there are also stems with clusters of what look like seed pods

touched grass today

there is a LOT going on in that essay (which i know is essentially an ad for claude) and i dont have time to pick apart all of the shit i hate about it but for this one bit he sounds so salty about it i am SO sure theres a story there

Such recognition of integrity and responsibility is important. After all, it would not be good for science if people put out AI slop and then blamed the LLM for its errors. On the other hand, grad students are often on papers with implicit responsibility for the content even when they cannot fully understand it, which is why everyone knows it's truly the PI's fault when something is wrong.

angrily installing this app and getting this fucking notification at the top is just insult to injury b/c i distinctly remember one time i was looking at my phone and didnt hear the bus coming, only to look up and watch it pass me without even slowing down at a stop only serviced by ONE BUS LINE
