I enjoy the new looks, but I can't get over the bolder colors in the original designs. The vibrant red & blonde are such a big part of their visual identity, so seeing those swapped out with softer tones puts me off, even with the outfits being really good. Something feels off or missing.

I found the café in TADC odd, because it clashes with the rest of the circus . . . . . . only to realize based on Caine's antics in the finale that wherever the circus is kept IRL, a café is close by. I guess Caine learned about/was fed data from the café when building the circus?

While Banjo-Kazooie is my favorite game (& other contender for this question), I think Super Mario World is . . . pure comfort. With varied level design, near perfect controls, and quirky power-ups & challenges, it's like a grilled-cheese sandwich on a cold day. I just feel warm & good having it.
