#Hobbystreak day 187. Just a small painting update today. I had to work late tonight so not much hobby time and it's been super humid so I haven't been able to spray anything either.

#Hobbystreak day 186. I am going to be on a Battletech side quest for a bit. One of the long time members of our club is moving out of state so everyone has donated models for me to paint in the Cavaliers livery as a going away present before he leaves.

#hobbystreak day 185. The Cavaliers took the field again today. The mercs we have been fighting on this planet made one last push in an attempt to attack our drop ship. The Cavs laid an ambush and forced them into surrender

#Hobbystreak day 184. I finished off the sentinel this morning by finalizing the basing. Since it's too humid to get any priming done, I started working on building some more jade warriors for reinforcements.

#Hobbystreak day 183. This ended up being a 1 day paint and I wasn't expecting it to be. Behold the Obsidian sentinel.

#Hobbystreak day 182. Old World Thursday returns. A high elf sea patrol spotted a dark elf raid under way. Despite mobilizing in force they were no match for the hatred of the dark elves.

#Hobbystreak day 181. And that is one army commander ready for the table. I am very pleased with the end result. Tomorrow is game day so I think the Dark Elves will be returning to the field.

#Hobbystreak day 180. Our Longma now has a rider! The Shugengan was a fun little one day paint and I am pretty happy with the results. Tomorrow I should be able to knock out the basing and he will be ready to lead my Cathay army to victory.

#Hobbystreak day 179. I finished the Longma and I am really happy with the final result. Time permitting tomorrow I should be able to paint the rider and do the basing

#Hobbystreak day 178. I have let myself be intimidated by this model for far too long so today I started work on the Spirit Longma mount of my Cathay general

#Hobbystreak day 177. I got out and primed the sentinel this morning but more importantly i had a friend over to the house to play his first game with wood elves and my 3rd ever game with Cathay. Very close game, there was only a 20 VP difference so we called it a tie.

#Hobbystreak day 176. Oh thank God it's done. Things were going okay until I got to building the staff and hands and then it fell off the rails. At least it's over now and I'm only ever going to have 1 of them.

#Hobbystreqk day 175. The YouTubers weren't exaggerating when they said this kit was awful to build. Kit building is probably one of my favorite parts of the hobby but I had to take a break because this thing is fiddle faddle as fuck.

#Hobbystreak day 174. The astromancer is done! I think up next it's time for me to be brave and work on a Cathay centerpiece model.

#Hobbystreak day 173. Some more painting progress today. I probably could have powered through and finished the whole mini today but I decided to take my time and just enjoy the process.

#Hobbystreak day 172. Back to painting today! This time I am starting with the on foot Cathay Astromancer.

#Hobbystreak day 171. I had some pretty miserable weather today so priming was out and I wanted a break from painting. I had a couple loose dark angels characters in my bits box so I decided to build them with a bit of kitbashing.

#Hobbystreak day 170. The Cauldron of Blood is ready for the table! I am really happy with how this came out and I'm looking forward to putting it on the table as my baggage train.

#Hobbystreak day 169. I had even less painting time than I thought I would today but I still managed to get a decent but done on the cauldron.

#Hobbystreak day 168. Work on the cauldron continues. I am pretty happy with how the blood effect came out. Not sure how much I will get accomplished tomorrow since I have family events happening but my plan is to finish the shrine so I can move on to the attendants.

#Hobbystreak day 167. I had a really annoying day of running around but I was able to get the shrine primed. I also had the thought I needed some shrine attendants and found a couple metal witch elves after digging through my bits box.

#Hobbystreak day 166. The veterans are done! I'm very pleased with the finished product here. I also got a start on my next project which will be a shrine of khaine to use as a baggage train for my Dark Elves.

#Hobbystreak day 165. We return to the painting desk. I just about finished painting these legion veterans. They just need their basing done and they will be table ready.

#Hobbystreak day 164. Battletech campaign sunday. The Cavaliers had to defend a nuclear facility from another Merc company. We were mostly successful they only made off with one container of nuclear material. I'm sure this will be fine and have no consequences at all.

#Hobbystreak day 163. First game of 40k 11th edition with a friend. my first impression is It still does most of the things that annoy me about modern 40k but some of the stuff on the margins feels better.

#Hobbystreak day 162. Some more paint work on these veterans. Unrelated but I got talked into playing a game of 11th edition tomorrow so we will see if my take on modern 40k has changed at all.

#Hobbystreak day 161. It's appropriate I played against Skaven tonight because I had rat fuck dice luck. I had 800 points flee off the table during this game because I kept rolling 12s on leadership checks.

#Hobbystreak day 160. I'm painting some veteran legionaries for my Dark Angels now. It felt like a nice palate cleanser after working on non stop fantasy for a while.

#Hobbystreak day 159. I have finished building everything in my Cathay army box. I've been very single threaded on fantasy minis so I might paint something scifi before I settle in to paint Cathay stuff.

#Hobbystreak day 158. We build for Cathay. I'm trying to finish off everything in my remaining battalion box so I started on the ironhail and crane gunner teams today.
