They are building the infrastructure for the future we see in the Terminator and The Matrix. It is depressing.
It was quite the day we put our life into a container to send across the world. They packed it so quickly. Pretty incredible jigsaw to get it all in the container.
You know you've had a busy and tiring week when this happens to your @teachertapp.bsky.social stats.🥹

I noted the continued partial use in the new curriculum, of the ring design, the whakapapa of the Te Mātaiaho curriculum. But, the whakarae mean specific things. The outer rings represent the centrality of Te Tiritiy to the curriculum. They're just using it as decoration.
I wonder what is the primary cause of Lord Dampnut's military operations off the shores of Venezuela. Perhaps he's worried about the authoritarian rule... poor freedom of the press... civil liberties... corruption... Or is it that it has the world's largest oil reserves?
By who... (I remember posting this gif during the curriculum rewrite in England in 2013/4)
I think I've positioned NZ in its diametrically opposite location on the globe. Oban on Stewart Island shares coordinates with a town just south of Innsbruck. And Auckland on the same latitude as Gibraltar. 90 mile beach is opposite Tunisia and I am opposite Genoa. ... I think. Thetruesize.com
Strong beard game in the maths education world @jemmaths.bsky.social
Given that #aotearoa needs primary and secondary teachers right now this will be welcome news to the #MOE. Both phases have direct routes to residency now. Come teach in New Zealand. Survey via @teachertapp.bsky.social
"simply increasing the amount of class time devoted to core subjects such as mathematics does not automatically guarantee improved learning outcomes, particularly if teaching methods are not effective or if educational resources are insufficient."
I'm saying the fraction of year is irrelevant. My reasoning is school time allocated for students per year doesn't correlate with attainment anyway and England is already an outlier on recommended hours. If my maths is correct 32.5 recommended hours at 39 weeks puts England here on this graph.
Yup. Also a wee note to @iandunt.bsky.social Elon probably hasn't read HHGTTG or the other books at all. Grok is not a word from that series. It's from a completely different novel.
Lord Dampnut thinks this device is how we generate electricity from wind.
Looks like its going to remain in the roaring 40s for the rest of the week.
Oh this to the south west of Aotearoa looks fun... The mountains te Tiritiri-o-te-Moana (Southern Alps) are usually a good windbreak. Hope so.
About 40 mph - windier up the coast in Ashburton and Darfield. And nothing at Christchurch. Eye of a wee storm? Zooms out...
