making use of an old #Monkigras glass tube to build a pinhole so i can watch it indirectly(ish)

cardboard tube with plastic ends which are hole punched to allow a tinfoil end with a small pinhole and then the other end is tissue paper so that the sun can be observed

The Town centre shopping mall has been closed since Monday 1th and looks to be closed all weekend possibly longer The glass is falling from the ceiling into the mall, real final destination stuff which is now killing indie traders located in the Mall itself. its .. incredible !

We wish to provide you with a further update following the temporary closure of Swan Walk Shopping Centre.
Our priority remains the safety of everyone who works in and visits the centre. We are continuing to work closely with specialist contractors and are progressing investigations and solutions as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, the centre will remain closed over the weekend while this work continues.
We appreciate the impact this has on our customers, and we are grateful for your patience and understanding. We will provide a further update on Monday.

#MorningPages About to start on notebook #4 , which is actually notebook #5 of my Morning pages routine. Every morning before the day begins I write 2 A4 pages stream of consciousness no goal , no objective, write what arrives in my mind , no blocking of ideas. To observe my own thoughts

Ive noticed a prefiltration of Youtube AI thumbnails which are frankly creating what i call plasticine brown schmear outcomes. he most aggravating though is watching AI fail at dice no i wont tell you what idiotic youtube channeler this comes from either

more examples of AI slop dice creation a we see multiple 5s on a d6 dice.

Name a TV show you're positive no one remembers but you. Ive got one that I am pretty sure is pure 70s niche Star Maidens.

Star Maidens largely followed on the success of Space: 1999, another sci-fi hit and, at the time, the most expensive show produced for British television. While Star Maidens had a considerably lower budget, it shared the same production designer, Keith Wilson, the same sound editor, Peter Pennell, and special effects by Allan Bryce, leading to a similar look and feel for both series. Lead actresses Judy Geeson and Lisa Harrow had also appeared as star guests in Space:1999: Geeson in the episode "Another Time, Another Place" and Harrow in "The Testament of Arkadia".

According to the notes included in the series’ 2005 DVD release, "the German producers intended for the series to be a sex comedy, whereas the British producers intended the show to be intelligent science fiction." This clear disparity in creative vision likely contributed to Star Maidens lasting only one season, despite reasonable international sales.

At about 52 yrs old I had a syncope event behind the wheel, no one was maimed, injured , or killed .. thank fully . All because the drive/speed management would not enable on my leaf. I switched to Ioniq and I wish more cars had the same speed control that LIME bikes are forced to endure.

Niks nissan leaf wirtten off after a black oout because the cars speed limit drive assist would not allow to be activated because I was not going faster than 20mph in the 20mph zone to activate it

blimey i once wrote a lot of articles for the local press perusing my @obsidian.md collection of notes, articles, and writing

"They are pouring through our letterbox." That was the comment of one resident on receiving yet another flyer connected to the upcoming local elections. I had to agree with them; in the build up to the election the mass of leaflets and newspaper like productions seem unstoppable. Personally I find it delivers an awkward message on environmental responsibility. On the one hand there is the inevitable waste, the recycling effort, and the energy expended, in the creation and on the other the comments that people "never hear from their candidates" suggest the need to create and distribute more. The trouble is you just cannot tell from a front door as to whether the occupants are interested in receiving any literature at all. The comment gives me the opportunity to ask of the recipient if they read and understood the assumed messages contained within the flyers. The assumptions that parties, or individuals, are solely responsible for service delivery, such as streetlights or waste collection, are printed broadly on leaflets and they go unchallenged. It highlights just how poor the understanding of the relationship between civic administration and a council body is. That relationship seems to run both ways though with a few comments along the line of "we only ever see you lot when you want a vote" , referring to election candidates and councillors. I ask about the rubbish I see on the street, about the dog mess which seems to collect along certain walks, or the speeding cars; I ask who do they speak to about these issues? The generic answer is "I phone the council" though more often than not the usual response I see is a shrug of the shoulders as if the problem might not be their concern. The ballot should be an opportunity to renew the commitment from both members of a vote. Last night I got a chance to return to a game I've not had a opportunity to play in over 25 years. Last Vegas has generally been out of print and hard to find. Ravensburger have revived . This game always creates a sense of joy and delight when played with 5 players .

The game layout for lasvegas involved 6 cards representing Casionos numbered 1 to 6 each casino had 2 values in fake cash that can be won . Players roll dice choose sets of same number allocated them to Casionos a d try to outbid other players , you can also block players by matching bids . It's a good game

This weekend during #UKGE I took Ludicantos to the meet a few PlayestUK designers ; in place of one flyer saying "hey heres a website" I wrote a choose your path narrative style book [1] that explains how to use the site. @thomasnoppers.com provided the art.

I genuinely appreciated the effort #UKGE went to to provide Gender neutral toilets I hope next year these can be created also in Hall 1 ( open gaming ) as these in hall 5 ( Tickets ) were not accessible when the hall closed at 5.
