Foo Fighters – surprise concert at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. in 2014. My now-husband snagged us two of the last seven tickets available at the box office, and I still can't believe it.

I’m sentenced to a lifetime as a diehard sports fan born into a family that hates sports, so naturally I only successfully overthrew the TV just in time to see everything hit the fan in the Packers game.
In other baseball news: Adam Jones looked like a kid having his best night ever tonight, and I loved every second of it. In a world where so much is terrible right now, the @savannahbananas.bsky.social have somehow figured out exactly how to bring pure joy to everyone in the crowd.
Yeah, I don’t know, I’m thinking maybe we shouldn’t have cut so much weather funding... It’s currently pouring here, and this is about the third time this week that AccuWeather has looked like this *while* it’s been actively raining hard here.

Fun fact: today, we discovered that the Washington Spirit jerseys (which I LOVEEEE for the record) are mosquito magnets! I’m notoriously like a beacon for all mosquitoes, but @atom7895.bsky.social is covered in them while no one else at this brewery is bothered. 😭

2024… You taught me a lot about making dreams happen. I half jokingly said “Why not run my first marathon in the same year I finally earn my M.S.” and then… I did it, despite some hurdles. And I still can’t believe I did. 🥂 to more “random ideas” that become achievements & memories in the New Year!
