Holy shit this was INTENSE but actually probably the most fun I had with these events so far, did it first try like a real Tiki Gooner
I've always been open about preferring heavier stylization over realism, but I think realism has its place when it doesn't hurt the art direction. And even though OoT's concept art was more stylized, some of the most iconic sceneries from the game were the most realistic Zelda has ever been.
Me when the event came out: oh no, the last event had my ass beaten, and I'm not even good with Snake Bananza, and I'm not familiar with the Radiant Layer, this'll take forever how am I gonna do it Me now, last minute, panicked, first try:
Some people are so fixated on their idea of perfect consistency/continuity that they completely misunderstand what "canon" means to companies like Nintendo
I always preferred a more heavily stylized approach, and never asked for a radical change... Yet I'm not angry at this Starfox specifically, because it reminds me of:
Haven't been drawing for the past ~13 years, for solidarity I tried to push past my art block It's not great, but I wish you the best
Still BotW/TotK, big booty girl ftw Also her Ganon puppet version with the evil smirk is criminally hot lol
Thanks for the input! I was already doing the strategy, but I was squandering a few too many bonuses on other enemies perks. During my 5th attempt I refreshed the perks more aggressively, and I finally did it. A Big effort for a Tiny reward (worth it)
Oh wow I knew I heard the same sentiment from the big guy himself somewhere down the line! I wonder how this sentiment might have shaped since.
LMAO this is a deeper truth than one could assume, the unbreakable bond between SeRiOuS GaMe and "fidelity" runs deep within the Western normie gamers.
This may sound like a rambling from one of those crazy tumblr people which never felt the touch of grass (like the asinine Gerudo discourse which is doing the rounds again), but in this case I actually firmly believe it 100% and I always thought about it
This is far from a priority for Pokémon, but it would be cool if eventually they'd put hatchlings into the games, since they are canon yet without any appearance past gen 1 corollary merchandise. This would also imply Pokémon ageing, which is also canon, but not easy to put into the games.
This is a very preliminary gut feeling, but gen 10 gives me these vibes. I'm a huge fan of the natural/tropical/seafaring aspect of Pokémon. Gen 3 is among my favourites, gen 7 always had a ton of unfulfilled potential, New Snap almost scratched that itch but it's not a mainline...
In gen 5 and 8 I usually drop my starter in the box once it's evolved and never use it tho lol, hopefully that won't be the case for gen 10 (Gecqua is my current pick but I might change it depending on the evos)
Not a top 4 because I could never decide on that, just 4 I love among others
