I had these two on vinyl, almost regrettably I sold my whole collection 380 in total in one lump sum, I wasn’t going to invest in a new amplifier or cartridge so now I use Apple Music. So much more convenient.
High heat and humidity are not good for bees. I decided to made a sun shade out of a 4’ X 4’ piece of coroplast. The bees were in a huge lineup at the bird bath and after installing the sun shade their numbers have dropped dramatically which could mean they are now cooler 🕶️
Opened the hive tonight, the bees have started to fill the comb, I’ll check again in a week to see how they are progressing. I may have a first honey pull in the 3rd week of July!
We get hummingbird moths in the late summer at dusk, very cool to see them feeding on the potted flowers, they sound similar to hummingbirds too.
Just took this photo at the end of our driveway, the twilight is still visible at 11:10 PM, I love the long days of summer.
There is a storm brewing in Alberta, and the UPC party will soon feel the effects.
I was checking out my bee hive and discovered the bees fanning it by hanging on to the bottom board at the entrance, sticking their bums out and beating their wings though they are flying, you can feel a gentle breeze when you get close.
Nice see the deer passing through the yard plus it’s the first day of summer!
Just looking through a few old videos of storms, this one was minutes before it stormed over our place.
Been there, we tried covering the feature buttons so the folks wouldn’t switch it to HDMI 2 or some other input. Thought about buying a simple remote such as this one - but sadly they have both passed away.
I made this tonight - Three colour pepper stir-fry with Italian sausage. Italian sausage, Balsamic vinegar, garlic, penne rigatoni, parsley, olive oil, peppers, sugar, capers, chili pepper, red wine vinegar.
Get some of these flowery big bandaids and cover the whole thing so stuff can’t be snagged on the edges.
While not as well camoed as the one in the photo this guy comes close, there is a pair that over winter at our yard, when they perch in out trees they are difficult to spot.
