A bit of a delayed post but we have a routine of doing a mental cleanse by taking a quiet hike the week after Presidential elections. It really did help.

With each Cabinet announcement my wife reminds me we can live in Denmark (where we just vacationed pre-election) 3 months out of every 6 without having to meet emigration requirements. . .

Even on a relaxing hike, we encounter gatekeeping!
