Lawrence Ballou. Texas boy, living in Dallas. 🌈 Been with my partner since 2007
I’m on the fence with this series. Two more episodes to go in season 2, debating whether to watch season 3 once it is released. I don’t mind rooting for the bad guy on a show or movie, I loved George Clooney in Out of Sight. I’m not really given any reason to like these characters
Knowing how much I love Gregorian Chants recordings, Jim walks in with this lp. He was sorting lp’s on shelves and discovered this from his collection. Beautiful recording. Salve Festa Dies. Gregorian Chants. Benedictine Monks of Clervaux
It’s only taken me 40 years to finally see this brilliant film, Withnail and I. Knowing I would eventually see it, I deliberately kept myself ignorant of plot. As a result, I was surprised by its being set in 1969, and I had no idea there was a Queer element to the story.
I won’t apologize for loving this record. I haven’t really followed U2 since Joshua Tree, but I still appreciate their earlier recordings. Especially, The Unforgettable Fire. 1984. Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois play a huge roll as to why I love this album so much.
All but the tip of Claude’s tail made it into the cabinet above the fridge. Happy Caturday!
I’m a little late to the Hamnet appreciation party. This will certainly be considered one of my all time favorite films. The ending sequence is pure art. Max Richter’s music is executed perfectly
New Sounds in Electronic Music. 1967. This is considered a very important recording as an early example of electronic music. I discovered it today in Jim’s collection of lp’s. Steve Reich’s Come Out is especially effective. I’m a little bit giddy listening to it!
Jim, my partner on my left and our good friend Harold across from me, decided to celebrate the 4th of July and US 250th anniversary by having Chinese food!😁
We may never know what is in this box. It has become his favorite spot to hunker down, so we’re hesitant to disturb it. Ashes from previous kitties(Max and Cromwell)lie safely secure in their wooden boxes on the windowsill above Claude. Happy Caturday
My dad apparently did not like this photo because it shows him with a cigarette dangling from his lips. It’s my favorite photo of him. It was taken around the time I was born. We had a challenging relationship. Gay son of a Baptist preacher. He died at 94 yrs old. Today, he would have been 98.
Waiting in the ER for lab results. I’m fine, but, I had a situation earlier that indicated something heart related. Turns out it is. Doc suggested I go to ER for further test, just in case it is serious. Almost 3 hrs. Hopefully, not much longer. 😑
Claude changes positions until he finds the perfect spot. Under the chair works! Happy Caturday!
RIP. David Clayton-Thomas. Lead vocalist for Blood, Sweat, and Tears. 1941-2026
This photo of my pop was taken in 2015 in west Texas near Possum King Lake where he grew up. Today I am wearing the black boots he is wearing in this photo as a way to remember him.
