But! Another one, for hands specifically is, surprisingly, slime! When I draw a pair of hands under someone else’s skin I imagine it almost like a slime. If you ever held a slime before you know it has a very beautiful way of wrapping around your fingers,
I think they’re one of the most accurate examples of my approach.
Of course, since it’s a skin -suit- thing I try to think about how it would behave if it was an actual fabric, but even then, the best practice is not to get too stuck up on realism, instead of looking for reference in actual clothes I think the best reference is actually sculptures!
