A… space boat? I was able to successfully use every piece and even had a spot for the gun. I think this could be a fun back of the box build to show kids you can use the cockpit piece in other ways.

My wife and I got the new Bonnie figure. All our other toys wanted to get pictures with him.

My wife also got me this set on sale. I’m still mad it doesn’t have Sable, but I’m not going to say no to a Mable. Sasha is also very cute. The interior feels just barely too cramped. Mable’s skirt piece makes it hard for her to fit in some places. But otherwise it’s fine.

My wife got me this on sale. I originally skipped it because it felt the weakest of the three sets from that wave, but I am happy to have Leif and Poppy. Like with the van from the town hall set, the caravan feels huge. The car itself feels reasonable tho.

Apparently I took these pictures and never posted them. This is probably the only set I’m going to grab from the new Animal Crossing wave, but I’m happy with it. It’s very cute and feels reasonable even with the price increase.

Here’s a look at how the dinosaurs are assembled. The Trex arms can be difficult to insert, and messing it up damages the technic connection. That’s my only main gripe with the dinosaurs. The raptors having fixed legs is a but of bummer tho, and the Trex head is fine but looser than the Lego one

Got two of the Zuru Max dino sets for $25 total. Absolutely bonkers value for the price! I love how colorful the dinosaurs are, and I’m surprised they’re different molds from the Lego ones. The big set also came with the same keep build in tan instead of green. I didn’t feel like building it tho

“Dino Escape” comes with a lime jeep and a lime raptor. Instead of a box, it’s in a cute egg container with an amber sticking out of it. There’s also stud connections on top.

The jeep is obviously inspired but Jurassic Park with its colors but different enough. (The tan jeep feel similar.) The build was interesting even though I prefer smaller vehicles.

“Dino Hunt” comes with a tan jeep (not depicted), a lime helicopter, a radar with a charging station), a tree, a blue raptor, and a red trex.

The tree is interesting. It has a unique base kind of like the ones mega construx used to do. It feels very imaginex to me.

The helicopter has a panel that opens out to reveal a hook. It’s hard to roll up without a wheel or level to grab, but the build definitely didn’t have space for it. Also, I don’t think you can safely take off the roof to put minifigs inside?

My wife got the new Fantastic Four set, so I took some pictures after we built it! Ignoring the price, Galactus is a lot better in hand. I definitely will be modifying it to be less gangly, though. Also to give it better feet. I’m mostly just happy these minifigs were finally made #Lego #Marvel

Got the Dodo Airlines set on sale, too! This means I have all the 2024 sets now. I originally didn’t get it because I was upset it doesn’t have Orville. I even skipped getting it on sale. I only caved this time because it was even cheaper. It’s cute, though, and I’m happy to have Tangy and Wilbur

Got the Tom Nook set on sale, meaning I have every setfrom the first wave! Very cute build! I wish this was like the friends set where the store had lots option to decorate the house, but still fun. Also happy to finally have Tom Nook and Rosie without dropping a lot of money.

I wanted to try taking pictures in the grass but it definitely was too tall. I’ll have to wait for the grass to be cut next time.

Took this on a table on our back porch. My goal for these pictures (and my next post) was to find spots in the house matching the scene color-wise and/or location-wise. Still deciding if it was worth it or if a neutral background is better.

This is definitely the laziest picture I took and doesn’t show off half the build. I think I prioritized story too much over actually showing off the build or being more interesting composition-wise.

I picked one of the suggested layouts and slightly modified it (mainly I didn’t like how they hung the K.K. Bubblegum album and wanted the couch to be all the way in the corner). The angle blocks the cute potted plant Rosie has in her house.

This is probably my favorite animal crossing interior so far, though I did like Fauna’s a lot too.

Absolutely absurd Lego haul yesterday! Between a Facebook marketplace deal and everything at Target being on sale, I got all of this for about $80

Two Lego Animal Crossing sets, five BLDR sets (four Adopt Me!, one Hello Kitty and Friends) and a blind bag (more Sanrio), four used Lego sets (Ninjago, Creator, Spider Man), two Lego ornaments, and various pieces.

For Father’s Day coming up, I modified this bird’s nest set I got for our grandma for Mother’s Day to now have a second bird to represent our grandpa. I also changed the birds to be cardinals since they both like them. It looks a bit busy now, but hey, that’s accurate to our household! #LEGO

I swapped out the eyes because I was one eye short of using the original ones for all four birds. Whereas I have a ton of these octopus eyes.

Very cute set! It’s no longer being sold, but it’s pretty easy to recreate because most of the pieces feel pretty common or easily substituted.

This floor is the main decorated interior with a lab table and a weapon rack. The floor above is empty and just leads to the balcony with the telescope, and the floor above that has a book with cool sticker pieces. I did not manage to fit in pictures of those floors.

My wife got me this set as a present a while ago, but I finally built it! Very pretty build! I love the colors and the big ol gears! Also finally get my hands on Sneak for the little cat body. I’m considering building the alt build later this month. CW: Arachnophobia (3rd pic on)

It’s height gave me trouble figuring out how to take pictures of it but I think this works. My main regret is that this angle hides the gear on the other side of the tower.

Got the Biolizard set on sale! Biolizard is cute. Probably could use some small tweaks to give it more articulation, but it doesn’t need it. I didn’t build the spin launcher, but the gimmick where you hit the side to pop off the top looks fun!

This is loosely based on the still from the third Sonic movie. The angle and pose from SA2 didn’t seem like it’d work as well for these figs.

The Biolizard yells in defeat. It’s module on its back has been popped off, revealing a chaos emerald.

You can launch Shadow/Sonic at black ribs to make this happen. I didn’t build the spin launcher, so I wasn’t able to test it. But it’s a fun idea!

It’s also funny to me that there’s a chaos emerald. Don’t Sonic and Shadow need all seven to transform?

The mouth is designed to open such that the shooting mechanism still works. Not a fan of shooting gimmicks personally but if you have them you might as well use them!

I got this set on clearance a while ago, but only now got around to building it. Maybe I was too much of a non-believer in Cooper sets. This looks a lot better in hand and is a lot of fun!

I got a Luffy and a beeg chonky Trex today!

The new Jurassic Park Tyrannosaurus Rex stands in the foreground while SHFiguarts Luffy (Romance Dawn) looks on excitedly from the background.

This Trex is NOTICEABLY bigger than the old ones when we did a size comparison. So happy to see it in all its glory instead of shrink wrapped—especially after recent revelations that proved it was definitely the biggest land carnivore! (Biggest by mass, I know Spino is longer)

Luffy relaxes on the Trex’s back eating a piece of meat. The Trex roars in approval? Jealousy? Who knows!

This set is cool! I love the subtle jungle motif, and the play features are simple and fun. While I think the fire and ice wave are objectively better, I like this more grounded aesthetic—even if it’s at the expensive of fun animal theming. Lots of minifigs of characters I don’t have yet, too!

Another fun set! In general, the villain vehicles have definitely been my favorites from the ones I have. The minifigures’ guns are all comically big, especially Varoy’s. There’s a neat gear system that lets you position the wings, and the deployable vehicles are a cute bonus.
