I initially thought I succeeded at basic dog agility training by getting Kona to go into the culvert pipe at the dog park. When he didn't come out, I realized that he was just happy to have found a shady spot to rest.

Sorry for your loss and continuing pain. Some friends of mine recently lost both of their dogs. I'll be dropping my beloved Kona off at their house this evening for a sleepover so they can fill their hearts with his abundant puppy love. Pic below is of these friends and Kona during his last visit.

On our way to drop off my son for volunteer duty at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, we discovered an awesome dog park in Vancouver: Dakota Dog Park. Lots of friendly dogs for Kona to play with.

I can no longer refer to Mona and Vinny as "my" dogs because my soon-to-be ex-wife is getting them in the divorce. I look forward to visitations like this recent one, as they will always have my heart.

Kona and I stayed at a friend's house last night. In the morning, I looked all over for him. When I finally found him, I realized that he was under my bed the whole time.

I removed the Miata's passenger seat and replaced it with foam cushions and a thick towel so Kona could ride with me in comfort. We brought his splash-proof bowl so he could stay hydrated. Remarkably, it survived all of the hard cornering this car is capable of without spilling a drop of water.
