I think with all the nostalgia hitting and people getting pissed at streaming services and losing movies you paid for, it’s time to bring this back!
Happy Gay Pride Month. I'll never forget my first Pride pararade. My partner and I were on vacation in San Francisco and I made my ripped jeans into chaps. Took Muni to Market Street and hung out all day. Even got a bear painted on my ass cheek. Ah being 20 in 1986, good memories.
Growing up in the late 60s and 70’s, I loved the shows by Sid & Marty Kroft. Sad to see them both gone now. Thank you for every great Saturday morning!
"We might be dropping a nuke and entering into World War III, but first a word from our sponsor"
in 1985, when I was 19, this album and I had so many memories together.
I doubt you were alive in the 60's, 70' and 80's but before TV's went flat screen they were CRT TV's and had tons of vacuum tubes inside them. They could be repaired and you'd use a machine like this to test them to see which one was out.
I’m definitely feeling my age these days. Turning 60 in a few months. Time certainly does fly by.
Some more of my nostalgia Christmas hall. Spider-Man and Green Goblin ornaments, Atari PAC-Man edition console for 2600 and 7800 games but the crowning jewel from my Cub, @culinarychubs.bsky.social near mint condition AD&D Dungeon Masters Screens replacing the ones I lost.
Part of my nostalgia Christmas hall this year. T-Shirts of Pink Floyd, Spider-Man and Dicks, plus a Star Wars X-Wing lamp for my desk at work.
Last day of work before my company shuts down for the weeks of Xmas and New Years. Will be nice having two weeks off.
9 years ago today my first partner, Lee, passed away. We were together from Nov. 1985 to June 1993. We moved to San Francisco is Jan 1987 and lived there for about 5 years. I got to experience more than many gay men get to experience in a lifetime. Thanks and I miss you Lee. Hugz and my Love!
Somedays I'm really glad I'm a child of the 70's. Such great music. Listening to America's greatest hits at work and thinking about being being a kid in the 70's again.
I would say insecurity. Me I'm happy that at 59 I'm going salt/pepper in my hair and my beard is almost all white in the middle. Here's a bear though that not only dyes his beard but dyes his chest hair and it just looks really bad.
