Pretty sure this delightful weather is brought to you by my husband's camping trip. I should send him out like that more often.
Daisy does not. She's a rescue-most likely a "rejected hunter" who didn't learn how to play with toys as a puppy. She has chewed two kongs neatly in half in a very short amount of time so we gave up on them.
Got to judge the county fair preserves this morning. Tasted some amazing pickles and preserves, but I really wish everyone I know that talks about canning would submit to the fair. So many submissions were the only one in their category.
Why is the city spraying pesticides at all, but particularly next to children's play areas at a public park near a wooded area home to birds and other animals?
It was just long enough that I got a little gardening in and let Daisy get some much needed outside time.
Daisy has let us know if we insist on keeping her inside, then she is claiming the entire sofa near the AC.
Visiting downtown Lancaster, PA and not only is there plenty of public seating, they have porch swings in front of the library!
Got peas planted, cleaned up around the hellebores, the dog hung out in the yard and then we took a long walk on the Triangle Trails at McIntire Park. We're all happily worn out.
Rose Hill is looking much better this afternoon but sidewalks are still a huge problem.
Rose Hill Drive checking in this morning. This is a "main" route to a citywide school. Once again, plow trucks drove by with their blades up all afternoon when this was soft and then came back at 10 pm to actually plow once it had hardened again.
Good morning from Rose Hill Drive at Greenleaf Park where crews have been working since last night to clear.
My then teenage daughter asked me to take her to see Dead & Co, which obviously, you cannot say no to. I paid more money for those tickets than I have ever paid for any concert and it was worth every penny. Good night Bobby and thank you.
I'm fairly sure co this nativity scene was inspired by that book. I've had it for decades. It's my favorite Christmas story.
Garden update: the squirrels are starting to share tomatoes with us. Finally got a harvest! Hooray!
