John Kennedy Toole taught English at the University of Louisiana Lafayette when my father was there. Toole author of A Confederacy of Dunces, won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1981 posthumously. He’s pictured here in one of my father’s yearbooks. ❤️
My mom was warped with trumpism until her final breath. It damaged our relationship when my husband and I were the only ones there for her. Three weeks ago she passed—and yes all that negative energy has interfered with my grief. I now remember mom in her prime before hate became her mantra. 😓

Just witnessed a rescue in Lincoln City! This is one of the rescue helicopters that would have been displaced if Trump had converted the airport in Newport into an ice transport facility!
