a fanfiction reader could never, even a broad cross-genre reader could never, I think. guess you can poison your mind with too much literary fiction
not Gerald Murnane in Barley Patch spending pages and pages freaking out about how his child self created self-insert fantasies for all the books he read, as if totally ignorant of how normal this is? sir have you never talked to another person about their inner life
Two new poems in Literary Matters! One of them is about a poo. The other is about whether it would be nice to be a wolf or maybe about being broke. www.literarymatters.org/18-2-invoice... www.literarymatters.org/18-2-manhood/
this is so good that I am absolutely seething with jealousy, I feel as though I have been transported to a higher plane of being by how good it is, it is set in something close to my personal milieu, I am enraged

peak cat cuddle weather is here help I can feel her toe fluff on my bare ankle
I typo'ed button as butoon and now I feel that is a thing, a butoon is a very large button, not sure if most coat buttons would qualify, perhaps it needs to be really delightfully fuck-off big. possibly the word may only be bellowed in a Merchant Ivory accent, UNHAND MY BUTOONS, SIRRAH

purdy (not purdy: 12 minute wait at Footscray for an inbound connection? hoping this will improve in final timetable)
high quality thoughts from Sussan Ley, it's disrespectful to the victims to air proposals about gun control but not to air proposals to silence criticism of Israel, because banning student speech will defo deradicalise random longstanding Islamic State terror cells www.abc.net.au/news/2025-12...
succeeded in switching phones, cat portraiture capabilities quite good honestly put her on Vogue. put her on Nelson's Column. put her on the ceiling of a Renaissance Chapel.

that was a grim series of RTs to start the morning geez, here's my sweeties
immediately after this Freddie decided her ears were getting crowded and started pulling Meg’s side-fluff with her teeth
it’s not even envy of the exquisite Victorian house, it’s like… imagine having the storage space to keep this nonsense in
CW the tea!! ol' Bryce was the only author the bogan part of my family ever reliably read, back in the day I think I noped out around book 2 or 3 where there's all the gratuitous brothel workers fellating the wooden dick, white boss raping black housekeeper etc www.theguardian.com/books/2025/a...
