A grayscale comic. A human walks by as a halfling ponders. The human says, “hey, xerra. If a kid comes by and says she knows me— can you feed her? While we’re out on a mission.”

The halfling responds: “oh, sure! But um… I didn’t know that you had a child.”

The human stares blankly and says, “oh. No. I don’t.”

The halfling stares back, saying, “oh.”

The human and halfling stare at each other, in silence.

The halfling thinks frantically, but logically: “Did I say something wrong? Are they not old enough to have a child? (I can't keep track of human ages...) But why are they asking me to feed a kid that's not theirs...?
Unless they're just embarrassed…?”

The human thinks, in a chaotic screed that doesn’t fit on the page, “Does Xerra think I have a fucking child?! I don't! I'm just teaching her to spar! And giving her boots for winter! And making sure she has food!”

Absolutely in fucking TEARS my player rolled a natural 20 to discreetly read a letter i assumed NO ONE WOULD EVER READ but i DID write it mostly for myself sometimes miracles do happen anyway we finished curtain call book 1!

i have ALWAYS loved poison egg from PF1e as a spell bc it's so fucking silly and niche, but I didn't realize it was a GRANTED SPELL from NORGORBER i didn't realize it had lore? egg lore? i read this in Gods & Magic (1e) the other day and i NEED everyone to know "egg boy" the norgorberite insult

Description
You transform the contents of a normal egg (such as a
chicken egg) into a single dose of small centipede poison
(injury DC 11, 1d2 Dex/1d2 Dex). The poison reverts to a
normal egg at the end of the spell, even if the secondary
damage has not occurred (the reverted egg substance is
harmless unless the poisoned creature is vulnerable to
eggs). The egg may be raw or cooked but must be whole
and not empty when you cast the spell.
Careless would-be poisoners who leave egg on their
weapons soon find it tends to clog sheaths and eventually
begins to smell rotten; in the church, calling someone an
“egg boy” is a minor insult suggesting a lack of foresight
or regard for consequences.

I’m obsessed with him, I fear. he and Winn have the most lad 2 lad energy possible which I am constantly charmed by. he’s constantly gassing them up and giving the worst romance advice imaginable (“go crawling back to your ex! Women love it when you’re pathetic and washed up! Trust me!”)
