Lovely family week away in North Cornwall, but I already want to go back
Before the football tonight… A great day out in the lakes - hiking a proper mountain, Great Gable ☀️ #breathe #UKLakeDistrict
A warm one in London today. Nice to be back here for a workshop earlier☀️
Fun day over in Dublin 🇮🇪 and a privilege to be a keynote speaker for the Better by Design conference - some great work happening here at the moment in public service design betterbydesign.ie
Saturday walking. Causey Pike. I needed that ☀️ #breathe #UKLakeDistrict
Happy Monday - here’s a favourite view from Sunday afternoon’s long walk round the Coledale horseshoe #uklakedistrict #wainwrights #breathe
Day off work yesterday. Making the most of the good(ish) weather before the bank holiday weekend #breathe #uklakedistrict #wainwrights
The Saturday I needed. Nice out there again today #breathe #UKLakeDistrict
My first proper walk of 2026. Spring is on its way #breathe #UKLakeDistrict
Euston Station is a brilliant example that you can’t improve something substantially by constantly tinkering at the edges …today the ‘new’ displays were being taken down. They weren’t any improvement, along with the constant small changes to remove/move retail spaces that keep happening
Happy New Year to everyone I know or have connected with here 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣🎆 I’m halfway through a much needed Christmas break from work… No reflection posts from me this year - I ran out of time and energy in 2025. Here’s to doing our best and being our best selves in 2026 #keepgoing
I didn’t get to that much this year… But did manage to grab a last minute ticket to go to Robert Mcfarlane’s Is a River Alive? session on Friday (I really enjoyed the audiobook a few months back)
London bound today. This morning has that ethereal winter feeling. Everything slowly defrosting as the sun rises #trains
Switched off from everything and went for a long walk today. Recommend #breathe #UKLakeDistrict
I’m trying to find ways to stay optimistic at the moment. This new Michael Rosen book is a lovely collection of ideas and thoughts which I enjoyed very much - Good Days: An A-Z of Hope and Happiness
Noticed this interesting bit of context setting on the DfE Digital, Data, Technology blog today - "This blog post was published under the 2015-2024 Conservative Administration" 👀 I've not seen this before, is it something other departments are doing / planning to do as well? #workintheopen
If you need some creativity, inspiration and optimism this week, I can wholeheartedly recommend Rob Hopkin’s new book - How to Fall in Love with the Future #books
Edinburgh really is the best when the sun shines… excellent day of coffee catchups before the conference starts… although I’m two coffees beyond my limit now! ☕️ 🏴
It’s been a Bruce Springsteen themed week… Not quite as close as on Monday, but we had a brilliant evening at the first night of the 2025 tour in Manchester
Highlight from earlier today… Popped out of our Manchester office to quickly grab lunch and saw Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band leaving their hotel #theboss #manchester
London today. Fabulous day working in person with a group of brilliant charities and collaborators
I’ve spent the day in a very sunny Bristol. Good to see some of our team in person with bonus lunch sat in the park ☀️
