You can also use this to get an idea of the time evolution of the fire. The fire is in the purple/red colors. Watch out for clouds as these hide the fires. 4/4
Once here, pan to your area of interest. Click "search" and select "show latest data". I'd suggest duplicate your tab here so you can look at True Color and the index at the same time. Tab along the dates at the top of the search window to find a less cloudy day after the fire has started. 3/4
To see burned area, we want to use hyperspectral (light we can't see but the satellite can) index visualisation for the Sentinel 2 satellite . We can use the BAIS2 index designed to visualise fire extent. custom-scripts.sentinel-hub.com/custom-scrip... On here, click "Copernicus Browser". 2/4
Fire stuff is awful right now. Here's a thread if you want to use free satellite imagery to understand the location and extent of these fires:🧵1/4
Insane buzzwords here but decoding it it looks like if you have some GIS, python, linux and have done a but of frontend stuff they might take you. Since I'm not applying I can easily say that I hate these buzzwords and descriptions designed to obscure what the applicant is actually meant to do
Most people say their finances are worse expect things to get worse. Vast majority do not see improvement in their finances. People probably know others for whom situation is a lot worse?
This is a good illustrator. Dan Davies is you in this thread and Portes is the guy in the comic.
Combined peacetime military spending of the UK and France is the same as the wartime spending for Russia.
If Europe actually needs to spend far more on the military to defeat Russia then I think we have to ask questions about the level of corruption in our countries. How has it come to be that we can spend more than 3x as much as Russia and yet apparently be so outgunned?
One of the big reasons for the American Revolution was George III telling the settlers not to expand west of the Appalachians into Indian territory.
Imagine this being your reaction to the fact that a lot of people could be going hungry very soon.
The author of the piece above criticised Labour's "missions" as not being what she was talking about. So they did not have missions in the way the author means.
Feels pretty obvious to me that extra shade should be being put up in cases of acute heat. Is your town or city doing it?
Just for anyone who has to field "but we are a small country our emissions don't matter" take. Taken together, small countries make up a large proportion of overall emissions*. If all small countries give up, we don't get Net Zero, ever. *Ignoring historic responsibility, per capita, etc.
It's because everyone knows mean comments online are the only accountability he will ever face for the stuff he either did or was too cowardly to stop.
Is this saying that the last auction set the price at just above what the wholesale price is now (with gas in the mix)? If so...does that mean adding this (and removing equivalent gas) effectively won't cut bills? Or not as simple as this?
