Today is the 61st anniversary of the Voting Rights Act. This landmark law prohibited racial discrimination in voting & helped secure equal access to the ballot.

I was proud to recognize Good Eats Deli in Fair Oaks as my office’s July Small Business of the Month! After losing their longtime San Francisco café during the pandemic, owners Ramzi and Siham Khoury moved to Fair Oaks and rebuilt Good Eats Deli from the ground up alongside their children.

I was honored to help launch this caucus in June and look forward to continuing to build bipartisan support for these vital programs in the years ahead.

This move to end Medicare Part D subsidies will raise premiums and prescription drug costs for many of our seniors.   At a time when seniors on fixed incomes are already struggling to keep up with high prices, this is exactly the opposite of what we should be doing.

Today, we voted once again to stop Donald Trump’s illegal war with Iran. This war has been a strategic and costly failure for our nation.

Wow. This Supreme Court got something right for once by protecting birthright citizenship. At least I know John Roberts knows how to read the Constitution.

11 years ago, the Supreme Court ruled that marriage equality is the law of the land. Since then, I've been proud to vote for the Respect for Marriage Act to codify protections for same-sex and interracial marriages. Love is love.

The consequences of the Dobbs decision continue to be felt across America four years later. Abortion bans and restrictions have created significant barriers to reproductive health care and disrupted training for the next generation of physicians and other health care providers.

Donald Trump's throwing a temper tantrum and refusing to sign bipartisan legislation that would build more housing and lower housing costs for Americans. Trump supported this bill. Congress passed it with overwhelming bipartisan support. Donald, grow up. Sign the bill.
