Comic-reviewer, writer, Jewish, intersectional feminist, liberal. If ur a fascist anti-Semite miss me with that bs. Love female led comics, Wonder Woman, & Kitty Pryde. Currently obsessed w/ the 80’s Marvel Comics. Especially the X-Men & Spider-Man books.
Remember when @philjimeneznyc.bsky.social gave us one of the greatest post Crisis images ever created with #JLA/TITANS? Such a seminal story, that helped return the #Titans team to greatness. Written by #DevinGrayson. I really do love this story. Worth picking up, if you haven’t already.
Alex Ross might be one of the greatest artists to ever capture the essence of what the JLA really is. They’re majestic, and larger than life. They’re their own mythological pantheon of modern day gods and goddesses.
Whose dick do I have to suck for James Robinson to un-retire Jack? Can you imagine how popular he’d be with today’s comic readers?
AHHHHHHHHH BETSYLOCKE IS BACK IN THAT AMAAAAAAAAAAYZING COSTUME BY DAVID MACK!!!!
One of comics greatest unsung heroes, the late, great Steve Lightle. I had the distinct privilege of meeting & befriending him via FB, & eventually met him at a con before he passed. His #Flash covers were so iconic. It’s a shame he never did a run on the interiors. Rest in power, king
And let’s not forget just how stacked he was during Grant Morrison’s JLA. Especially that fight against the Asmodel. Out. Of. This. World.
F* whatcha heard. The Electric Blue Superman era was really good imo. People often criticize that it was too long, but it was only for a year, which was a common practice with high profile comics at the time. Of the titles during this era, Action Comics by Immonen & Superman by Jurgens/Frens we’re ❤️
Todd McFarlane should really work to get Angela back. Marvel’s done her so god damn dirty.
I’m living for Panosian’s interpretation for Selina. #CCComcs #SelinaKyle #DanPanosian
The incomparable Dan Jurgens teamed up with superstar artists, Ron Frenz and Steve Epting, over the last few years of his run on Superman. They really put their stamp on the character. Frenz’s work on the electric blue era still remains as one of my favorites of the post Crisis era.
Anyone got a text free copy of this cover? Doing a Byrne re-read, and I really love this cover. I’d like to use it as my phone wallpaper.
This would solve the problem of losing the clay origin, while also keeping with the ugh Zeus as the baby daddy.
Jorge Jimenez has been on Batman for so long, he feels like he could become the next Jim Aparo (based solely on his tenure on the character). Can we get him to finally get the golden oval back?
What would you do to repurpose Grail? I think she’s got enormous potential, but we just haven’t gotten the right take. I’d love to see a whole set of Apokalyptan Amazons for one. Maybe that’s where Granny used as inspiration for the Female Furies. Maybe they’re all Amazons.
If DC gets the chance, they should steal Lucas Werneck away from Marvel and put him on Wonder Woman.
Circe should be a Justice League tiered villain. With all of the power at her disposal, she should be able to go toe to toe against Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the League.
Re-reading King’s Wonder Woman, and my god, I forgot how beautiful Sampere's Wonder Woman is. I'm not a fan of Diana being too muscular. She's not She-Hulk, and Daniel gets it. She's perfectly proportional, and her face really says blessed by Aphrodite.
Super fan of the CRIMINALLY underrated Dazzler run by Archie Goodwin (RIP), and Paul Chadwick. This run was so good. It could have been a hit had Marvel allowed it to have a fighting chance.
