YUM!!! If you’re still in Maine this Wednesday & want to do it right, go to Wharfside Cafe in Tenents Harbor for the classic lobster bake. Two lobsters, Cole slaw, corn, baked potatoes, & homemade blueberry pie with lemon curd crème fresh! Honey, let me tell you, it’s all that and a bag of chips!

Anyways, after painting & hanging this stunnah of a screen door, we went out for a good ole lobster bake and ate 2 lobsters, slaw, corn, and the best homemade blueberry pie. Dirigo, Maine Dems!

They start out like little fluff balls and then they elongate into something quite foreign and phallic! The bud on the right will bloom in 2 days…
This is what the flower buds look like currently-small, fuzzy white puffs emerging from the stalks. Absolutely crazy that these little things will become those flowers within 2-3 weeks!
Some photos from my morning sea turtle patrol. A beautiful sunrise & GIGANTIC grasshopper from yesterday. Today, I had a loggerhead false crawl on one key (she didn’t lay a nest) & finally a beautiful loggerhead nest on my favorite beach on the next key to the south. So very lucky to be doing this💚
She slid down the escarpment and went back into the Gulf. The second photo is from behind the nest looking out over the Gulf-there was a pod of dolphins swimming by🐬. This sea turtle monitoring research was conducted under Florida FWC Commission Marine Turtle Permits 027, 054, 048, and 028.
