My top one is usually something about “those shiftless Mennonites.” By way of explanation, I am descended from Mennonites and even distantly related to Matt Groening. There are probably about two dozen people like me who think that line is hilarious.
Zinnias, marigolds, and sunflowers in messy patch on my business property in Pagedale.
Fish! In the River des Peres! And less algae than the reflecting pool! There’s another universe where the RdP is a feature of the St. Louis area with trails and green space along it. In this pic it looks almost like a country stream.
The six genders are: van, harlequin, cap and saddle, mask and mantel, tuxedo, and locket. This graph says there are 8, but since solid color cats aren’t technically piebald, I’m not going to count them. This will likely start wild debate.
Whatchoo mean?! Some of us just have orange spots. (Note: different orange from my profile pic. Not seen, third orange.)
This weirdo gets all up in my face and purrs and I can’t even get a decent picture of him. He knows exactly what he’s doing.
This guy is an *obligate* carnivore and can’t even digest veggies or “ferments” well. So he’s clearly more badass than RFK.
Still not full grown so unsure of his current weight, but he is not afraid of any human. (Mainly because he’s never had a bad human interaction except for the vet who gave him a vaccine and he hissed, but then he got a treat, so it doesn’t really count as “bad” in the end.)
It’s the year of white kittens with orange spots. This guy was also born in 2025. Got separated from mom after 6 or so weeks and hid behind some plywood at a commercial building. Then a couple of humans tempted him out and now he lives the indoor life about a mile or so away.
This guy was hiding and crying behind some plywood at our workshop and he spent a couple of weeks as a shop cat. Production slowed, plus the shop is dusty and he won’t wear a respirator, so he had to go home. He does interfere with estimating.
Either that’s the wrong link in the story or there’s something wrong with the form. It’s asking for a login.
My daughter’s cat, Lily, who was FeLV positive and lead a fabulous life of knocking books off of shelves and purring at everyone as a cover for her crimes until her disease caught up to her a pretty long 6 years later.
Is she purring? Because this little guy purrs while he crimes. It works. He’s innocent.
So I don’t think I posted it on here but a couple of weeks ago we rescued this tiny kitten from under a pile of plywood at our shop. His confidence has improved. This is a dog toy that he’s into because otherwise he does this to my arm. 😆
It must be rescue a cat month. This small monster, now named Fletcher, was hiding behind some plywood at our shop. He’s at home now.
