Honestly still in disbelief that Colorado is a real place. Toffee, on the other hand, believes she is owed every single piece of sausage her snoot detects
Interrupting your doom scroll to share my greyhound, Toffee (left), celebrating her birthday with her greyhound bestie, Maple (right) ❤️
Unfortunately I’m one of the 1,600 devs who lost their jobs yesterday due to the #XboxLayoffs I loved my job at Bethesda with my whole heart. The teams I got to lead, the features I got to ship, the incredible fans I got to meet while working on Fallout were beyond S.P.E.C.I.A.L. I’ll miss it all.
#FalloutFanCelebration Day 2: - Lowlights: all day rain, throwing out my back and being out of commission for most of the day. - Highlights: Extra strength advil, hot pot, and getting to stop by Goodsprings one last time. See you next year, Fallout community! Hopefully with less injuries!
Day #1 of the #FalloutFanCelebration in the books! I’ve tried to stop myself from calling everything rad, but I, like nuclear fallout itself, struggle to be contained! ☢️
There’s nothing cooler than seeing people so excited about something you work on ❤️ S/o to whoever made this bracelet! I will treasure it! #fallout @fallout.bethesdastudios.com
Hello my name is Rebeccah and I frolic around the mountains of Colorado in full glam. What’s your favorite afternoon activity?
19/ Here's why that last part is so important and why I called this game a "gender trojan horse" in an earlier tweet. Was the first major entry into "games for girls" based on gendered stereotypes of what all little girls love? Sure, fine. But guess what? It was a gateway.
6/ During this era, a shift in marketing also came about. To get people back into buying games, a more targeted approach to marketing had to be implemented. Games and their hardware were no longer marketed as electronic entertainment but as toys (see Ye Olde 1988 Toys R US )
1/ Let's go back in time to when games as we understand them today really came into their stride: the arcade culture boom of 1971-1982. Back then, games like Pong, Space Invaders, Galaga, etc. were marketed to everyone as a fun family experience (see Ye Olde Millipede ad)
Oh? You’re a game developer? Explain to me the cultural significance of the 1996 release of “Barbie Fashion Designer” for PC. Jk, I’ll answer that for you in this essay 🧵
My greyhound, Toffee, as a Bluey character, holding her favorite thing: yogurt. (There’s a long story behind why I made this but just enjoy my art)
My winter wasteland hound, Toffee, sends your pups a nose boop!
Years of “at least he KNOWS he’s emotionally unavailable!” have prepared me for this moment. America. Girly. Don’t let a billionaire gaslight you.
Only two people at the party last night knew who me and my sister dressed up as. Bluesky, for the love of god, please tell me you know who these two kids are.
Good morning, currently-less-trash-fire-twitter. Let’s keep up the vibes. Here’s my contribution.
“Playing in the great outdoors! How could this day get any better?!” “Oh no…it got worse…” #toffeetuesday
