I like that this is a short spin from home and gets you onto roads that feel country-ish even though you're a stones throw from downtown. That said, it's not real pleasant on sunny days with temps near 90.
No integrated cockpit, no internal cable routing, no disc brakes or carbon wheels. Not even any paint, and it's one of my favorite bikes. Light, fast, and handles like a dream. It's reliable and easily repairable. 35K+ miles later and I love it as much as the day I bought it. My forever bike.
Not exactly a speedy ride, but made for a nice zone 2/3 workout. Low traffic and mild temps made for a relaxing ride.

Absolutely perfect Fourth of July weather in the Pacific Northwest. Still a great country in spite of its abysmal leadership.
Walked 25% of Portland and I think I'm done for a bit. I like walking, but urban walks don't hit the same as my usual routine. And my health seems to be more or less back to normal so it's time to get more saddle time in.
He is the kindest, bravest, most wonderful human being I have ever known in my life.

This was supposed to be a 65-75 mile ride but 3 flats and that was it. Thanks to Dave, the former Trek designer, and Jenny for stopping to assist. Saved me a LOT of time and made it home safely. Still a good day on the bike.
