Look, I get just as annoyed at Jacobin’s galaxy-brained takes as the next guy, but lumping them in with publications that are blatantly carrying water for fascism just feels like unserious equivocation and gratuitous left-punching

I think it’s healthy for people on Bluesky remember that the people who run the editorial offices of most of the prestige media and commentary outlets in the country hate YOU in particular more than anything else (“i fucking hate you and hope you die” meme with angry guy represented by various news/opinion mag logos)

My sentiments exactly. I’m not sure where my primary vote goes now, but I really don’t like the tone of El-Sayed or his supporters. It isn’t a battle of right vs wrong. I also wish Stevens would disavow some of the nastier ads promoting her. We’re better than this.

Whatever the “establishment Dems” do to El Sayed will be peanuts compared to the field day the GOP will have with him. So if he’s that offended and shook by his Dem primary opponent’s campaign, he should get out of the race now because he doesn’t have what it takes for the general election.

Look I’m not happy with Stevens either but El-Sayed showing some misogyny and poor decision making, I cannot trust anyone that agrees with Piker who is a bigot. Both aren’t great candidates but AES is more flawed at the end of the day.
