Spotted this amazing Martagon Lily/Turk’s Cap Lily in a garden in Ireland earlier this week. Stunning flowers and structure! #BloomSky #Flowers #Garden

Photo of a Martagon, or Turk’s Cap, Lily. The lily is in flower with many bright orange flowers on multiple stems. The petals of each flower are curled right back on themselves and vaguely resemble a Turkish cap of old. Each flower is pointing down to the floor.

The structure in the centre of the photo, taken looking down at the top of the flowering stem with unopened buds and developing seed pods radiating outward; it looks very architectural at it this stage.

Each of the apples have had a small picture of a heart, or hearts, and a short romantic message (e.g. “I love you”) etched into their skin, presumably by a computer controlled laser, but that is just a guess. Last night Ange & I thoroughly enjoyed watching (on BBC iPlayer) the fantastic acting by all cast in the 2020 movie “Nowhere Special”. We especially enjoyed watching James Norton & Daniel Lamont, both just outstanding. A really heartfelt, thoughtful tale, based on true events. Highly recommended!

Today, my lovely lady Angela & I are celebrating our 11th Wedding Anniversary! 🥰 I still pinch myself everyday because I just can’t believe how lucky I am to be with her! 😍 Out for a celebratory meal last night; opening gifts and chillin’ today!! Wishing everyone out there some happiness too! x

Earlier this month Ange & I attended the Bilbao BBK Live music festival, in the amazing city of Bilbao! The highlight of the festival was seeing #Pulp play live; awesome! We also spotted the RedBall, which was cool! Love to get this art to Plovdiv, Bulgaria! #RedBallProject #BilbaoBBKLive2025

This is a photograph of the Bluesky account holder, Blakey_Bloke, standing next to the RedBall, a bright red 4.5 m diameter inflatable vinyl sphere. It is an art project of the American artist, Kurt Perschke. The RedBall appears in locations all over the world, usually ‘jammed in’ somewhere, and tethered into place. It commonly appears for a day, a couple of days at most. The list of locations that it will make future appearances at is not publicly disclosed. The project has been running since the early 2000s.

Last night, 1st time since 2017, I was in an organised run, in Plovdiv! 🏃‍♂️ It was only 7.5 Km long, but OMG, it was soooo hilly (280 m total elevation), in 27°C heat too!! 😳🥵 It was great fun, brilliantly organised too, so glad I did it! #TepeJambore2025 #ТепеДжамборе2025 #ТепеДжамборе #Plovdiv
