Okay everybody can chill the F out now. I cloned the feet of the Apple II 3.5” Unidisk drive.
Things from Apple’s Snow White design era tend to get hit hard by UV damage. That sticker placement really sucks
That ain’t bad! Installation was a bit annoying as I had to glue in all the little clips for the stabilizer bars even though the instructions indicated they would just press-fit into the keycaps. It really does feel like an OG Amiga KB, only a lot better. 👍
I think it’s a SN74HCT125DR.. a level shifter from my Apple II Yellowstone drive controller. I connected an “untested” 3.5 floppy I got from eBay to it and boom.. magic smoke.
NES Cart PCBs with greenband’s are a tricky matter and very misunderstood... especially by Youtubers... 1/3
Almost threw in the towel!! 😅 “Untested” Apple II Mouse and Interface Card were both busted! The rom for the card was shy one pin and the mouse’s 5V line was broken inside the strain relief.
Not stealthy but the Apple IIGS keyboard is one of my favorites with its wonderfully clicky mechanical alps switches. Managed to get this one running by reflowing the ADB ports. Gave it a clean and ordered a new “A” key since the current one was broken and glued back together.
Playing with a stealth Apple IIGS build. This form factor is pretty fun but I wish I had gotten a modern mechanical keyboard when it was available.
Hell yeah! I literally just got this and never even seen one before. Should be fun!
Non-functional “for parts” Atari 800: New capacitors ✔️ Edge connectors cleaned & Deoxit ✔️ All socketed chips pressed in tight ✔️ Plastic bits washed ✔️ Fingers crossed ✔️
Thought I was losing my damn mind trying to desolder this! Apparently Atari used 3-legged capacitors on the Atari 800.
“The global response to the Commodore Callback 8020 has been an incredible endorsement of our vision.” lol wut? 🫤 I will say the lowered #commodore price does make me consider this an option for a tweener phone.
If y’all don’t hear back from me, please tell people I that died doing what I love.
Nice little snag from FB Marketplace. Minty Amiga 500 with PSU, hookups, and tank mouse.
