Part of a teasel rig at Knockando Mill 📷 2025. Johnston’s of Elgin mill still uses teasels; having found metal to be unsatisfactory, they reverted back to using teasels.
1. Will I be able to post my own post with images today? 2. Why, Nevis? Why have you plonked your hairy tennis ball into the dishwasher?

More from Kainnaird Head. Scotlands first official lighthouse that’s now the Scottish Lighthouse Museum. It was built on part of an old castle. The dinky lighthouse is what replaced it. They now, at last have funding to repair the buildings that were trashed by Storm Arwen and included their cafe.

@discovercullen.bsky.social Going through my photo archive - a bit of an enigma this one. Thought I’d pass it on. If you have or find anything on him, I’d love to know. Alexander Smith, Writer in Cullen. The stone, erected by his mother, isn’t in Cullen. It’s in Boyndie old churchyard.
@debsadelight.bsky.socialdelight.bsky.social @discovercullen.bsky.social War declared this day in 1914. War casualties came from all levels of society. His replacement killed within 2 wks. Original grave cross is in Cullen Auld Kirkyard. All photos my own - including Records 5th Bn. Cameron Hrs
You’re on! I’ll dispatch one of my special envoys to joust by proxy 😂.
If anyone needs a Monday morning chuckle - came across this in Banff last week. As if 🤣.
Hmmm. I have been amazed by AI on my phone but more in a comedic way. The AI also kicks in when you transfer images from a camera to phone. It needs more training to identify images. Not found it helpful with graves tho’. Here’s an example where the AI on the phone identifies it as a reptile…
Sun today, albeit briefly. Ribs too sore to go far but in the garden, fungi Phone usually does look-ups for flowers, insects etc. rarely fungi but today, it did. I now know why it doesn’t usually do fungi & wish it hadn’t bothered Both very small & orange one 2.5cm across 📷 Canon/Canon 35mm
Beautiful! And likewise. We have a similar wall colour & never thought of using it as a backdrop…here’s a flower with an industrious bee for you x
That’d be bliss but my dogs would not cooperate I could try negotiating for a lie-in I’ll get my PA to send them a memo She runs the office at weekends
Why put a yellow dot beside the cloud? Looking like it’s meant to be a bit o’ sun? The numbers tell a different story Likely 95% chance of rain Coming at you at around 25mph Only checking because I couldn’t remember Is it a sleet day or a rain day tomorrow? Didn’t expect a yellow dot day anyhoo
No, she’s just fat. I was a little concerned she might’ve swallowed them whole but on checking, they were alive, well & holding some kind of council of war in the bathroom. Not long after that, normal service was resumed.
When you see this space That’s usually occupied by 2 dogs I have questions… What did you do to them Elsa? It’s #Caturday Elsa
Look back - look forward Brighter days to come A ruin to myself With a dark history With my rucksack, camera, lens, coffee But now, months later, questions… What did Queen Vic’s painting show? Where is the big, gold ring now? 📷 July 2025
When your iPad creates one of those memories thingies. Clearly 17/5/25 was a busy day/evening with the camera. Annie Duncan - one of mine. An abundance of immortelles @debsadelight.bsky.social
Bokeh balls part II In the absence of outdoor conditions I did muck about indoors Vintage lens on the camera You can see how sometimes it enhances or distracts If I can do something constructive with bokeh balls outside in good lighting… I might change my name to Hyacinth Bokeh 📷 December 2025
There are a lot of people who deserve the time & space in my head for my thinking time. Him & people like him are not one of them. I kick them out & leave them on the side of the road where they belong. Would you like a dribbling swan on calm waters with slightly ruffled feathers instead? 📷 2025
It’s craft afternoon in the village hall Sewing machines required today I can’t go - still too sore My friend’s sewing machine is kaput She’s calling by to borrow mine, en-route Should I mention this… Maybe no-one will notice 👀
Bokeh balls. Something I’m mucking about with A bit marmite for some I quite like them sometimes Other times, they’re a distraction I like these - serendipity Tide out Camera Harbour wandering Wall barnacles 📷 2025
