This one at least had stuff like "Cyclops won't be judged" and "Doom laughs a Celestial in the face rather than say Richards is smarter" and was pretty much just an X-Event since Eternals was canned and Avengers gave it one issue IvX was complete garbage AvX...Marvel REALLY hated Cyclops, bastards
It really isn't an undersell Bobby's dad was human garbage He had a brief moment of "maybe he won't suck" after Graydon Creed had him beaten and hospitalized for having a mutant son, but then he flushed it to be a homophobe and still hate mutants Even chose death over Krakoan meds
Unofficial poll! Do I... A. Smoke a joint and then build a bookcase B. Build a bookcase and then smoke a joint C. Smoke the joint halfway through building the bookcase D. Smoke the joint and make the bookcase into future Booster's problem
It was like the bit on the Simpsons when Sherri and Terri got split up
From "The Strongest Man....in the world!" to "Killer of fiddy men!" And, a personal favorite, General Timothy Treister
Being a comic reader as a kid, you think you're going to be Wolverine or Superman. The badass loner that doesn't take any shit, or the nigh-unstoppable pinnacle of awesome. Being an adult reader, you know you're the Hulk. You're angry all the time, need a therapist, and just want to be left alone.
Just got to work, getting some things done before I do my cardio, but man, I am just jamming out to the first track my play list fed me today Setting a vibe
Me, 41, an Elder Millennial: this is dumb, I feel old all the time. Usually in my knee. I fall asleep watching TV regardless of the time of day. And I run on weed, anxiety, and undiagnosed autism. Nothing 'gangsta' about my white Jewish ass Also me, 41, an Elder Millennial: "Time to work out"
This is what Mike said to me about Naitch when we talked about it earlier
And here's the one from my nostalgia dreams, I'd include the dustjacket, but I have no memories of that! Just this book in my backpack and my teachers being like "Yeah, you aren't reading that today, read a real book, not something that has Foul Play in it"
Middle school Booster fell in love with a collection of horror comics he found at the local library and spent years looking for that collection He found it a year or two ago, out of print since the 70s, few decent used copies Then he found this book that has every one of those comics and more
So, despite always crediting the Death of Superman as my entry point, I was a second grader and my parents bought my comics In middle school, however, that's when I had some of my own money to spend on stuff in the wild I SHOULD say an issue of Uncanny or X-Men, but no Onslaught: Marvel Universe
This could have been a movie And not in the "it's a good idea" kind of way, but in the "discussions were had but it fell apart because New Line wouldn't let Ash kill Freddy or Jason, and Bruce didn't want Ash to get slaughtered" way
After Steve gets launched out into space, knowing he'd be lost forever, he throws the hammer back to Miguel who spend the next THOUSAND YEARS holding the hammer but never transforming until THEY FIND STEVE AGAIN. And then it ends with GHOST RIDER 2099 doing exposition Boo this future 6/6
And I have a problem with that Because you found PROOF THAT YOUR GOD EXISTS and your first instinct is "Captain America would be an even better super hero with this"? "Oh, it's a legend picking up the mantle of another legend" You mean GOD in your era And one last booing? 5/
Because you know what hurt Alchemax's control of the narrative? Spider-Man and Punisher running around. So the first Thor 2099 was a complete fraud that Alchemax gave a hammer to, and he was originally just a janitor at a Church. Fake Thor died, fake Loki (Halloween Jack) and Hela did not 3/
