I saw Glen Hansard perform a cover of “Beneath the Southern Cross” at a rehearsal show for a Patti Smith tribute concert last year in NYC. It was the most intense live vocal performance I’d ever heard, and the energy in the room was not something I knew could even exist. What a tragic loss.
I don’t buy it for a second. This newspaper is from 2002!
